F/U to DH's and his scary low blood sugars.
He was approved for an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor, and its going to be a bit less than what we thought for our out of pocket costs. DHs endo seemed to think that he will be much better able to control his diabetes with the pump...it will arrive to us on Monday and as soon as we can get in to the diabetes educators he will be able to learn how to live with his pump.
As a funny aside, a common slang term they have coined for the insulin pumps is P.I.M.P.
Pancreas In My Pocket!!! HAHAHA I cracked up when I heard that.
My DH will have a P.I.M.P. and I couldn't be happier!!!
