Tofu recipes
Can anyone recommend a good tofu recipe? I've never had it and it was on sale at the story so I picked up a package. I figured it was worth a try.
Any recipes you can recommend? (should I expect this to taste like chicken?)

It definitely doesn't taste like chicken, but it's quite tasty. There are some tricks to get it to a better texture/flavor...
I always get extra-firm. When I take it out of the package I place it on some paper towels and press it gently but firmly with a plate to get all the liquids out. Then I marinate it. I also freeze it for about an hour before cooking to get the texture more to my liking. Then I stir-fry it in HOT oil (not too vigorously or it crumbles), set it aside, stir fry other veggies like broccoli, water chestnuts, peppers, etc, add the tofu back in and stir in any leftover marinade as a glaze. I serve it over rice.
