Saw your comment about the gala in the weekend plans post. Is the "event" you are referring to also having a cocktail party tonight? I'll be there tonight, but not tomorrow night. Hubs wasn't down with a formal event. Ha.

The event is the Next cool thing. and Darn it would be cool to meet a Nestie at party. It is looking really cool so far. I actually just got back from adding some last touches. We did a small space compared to some of the massive ones there. We did Alice in wonderland the Mad Hatter's tea party and the other half of my firm Pedini, loaned out a circular bar for the modern take of Gone with the wind.
Have fun tonight. Hopefully it will be a good event.

i saw an ad for this event and thought it sounded really cool. i wanted to go but DH thought it's just for people planning events or in the entertainment biz. is that true?
Adventures of A Girl and Her Apron
No it's for anyone and everyone. Saturday nights gala was originally supposed to be for the industry but with the snow last weekend it all kind of changed. Everyone is welcome to come now. It's open to the public. I know a few of the designers are friends with directors and other film industry people so they maybe there and of course will be lots of interior designers there.
Tonight is the Cocktail party. I won't be there because of a wedding, but it should be fun there are tons of bars and food areas being set up. Some of the booths have bars in them.
Tomorrow Daytime is open for kids to be able to come to, followed by the evening gala.
Sunday it is also open during the day for people to check out.
It's been a lot of fun to think outside the box and be different. If you have a chance to go and check it out I would. It's a monster warehouse off Old Chattahoochee and tons of cool movies and tv shows are represented.
I hope I should since I've been apart of it. I'll be there during the day Saturday for a little while. Some of the exhibits/sets we still aren't sure what to call them are.

The Mommy dearest one is creative. They made a chandelier out of wire hangers.
That is awesome! I can't wait to see everything. I am sure the amount of creativity in one space is going to be unbelievable!
I believe if you wanted to go to the Gala tomorrow you could call and ask to buy tickets. We were told that because of the snow that both parties are crossing over.
