This is the last weekend we have overnight travel scheduled until March! That makes me really happy. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
Re: Happy Snowy Friday!
Morning!
TGI freaking F! This has been a long boring week for me and I'm totally looking forward to 5:00 today.
Tonight I'm making (trying to perfect) Chicago style stuffed pizza. We have a theme every year for Super Bowl and this year it's pizza. I'm hoping to blow everyone out of the water with my stuffed pizza.
I'm also making homemade cinnamon rolls to bring to my brother/SIL's new house tomorrow morning.
Happy Friday!
It's so cold out even Toby isn't loving it. Normally he'll lay outside for hours and I have to force him back in the house, but this morning he was only out there for about 15 minutes before I heard him knocking on the door to come back inside.
Woot! Weekend!
Good luck with your pizza, Wop. Sounds good.
I booked a trip to Savannah with my mom! Charleston ended up not working out due to cost/flight challenges, so we booked Savannah. Should be fun!
Yahoo!! How fun. :-)
That's the exact pizza I'm trying to replicate. I know it won't be perfect, but I want it to be close.
I just check the weather and it says it 11 degree's outside with a wind chill of -1. Um cold.
How is Toby doing now?
Happy Friday indeed!
I'm so glad we have pizza planned for dinner, 'cause that sounds SO good.
I called my on-site "boss" today and basically cut ties with the two companies. I was gracious and appreciative, but now I feel so free.
And I have lots of ideas for what I want to do next; I just need some pushes from the right people so I don't drag my feet on this and leave it as a pipe-dream forever...

Freedom! Yay! Care to elaborate on your future plans, or not ready to disclose that info yet?
So glad it's Friday, gals. Yes, indeedy.
Very ambiguous for now--just ideas so far, no solid leads. Kind of a creative/graphic design angle for local/small/startup businesses.

He's actually doing great (knocking feverishly on every peice of wood nearby). We're doing some fairly intense physical therapy with him but the knee is holding up well. Although he's in some discomfort because we're working his leg, he's happy as a clam to be going on walks again. We even got the okay on Monday to let him play with toys again, and he responded by taking about 15 of them out of his basket to chew or shake at his brother.
It is def cold out there. But I grew up in Maine and I am used to more snow and much colder temps.
Deeder - I have never heard that they cant bring their books hm. What school is this?
Juli - how is Toby doing?
Congrats on the new found freedom. :-) And good luck in your next venture!
THe Whop - you will have to share your crust recipe if it works out. My hubby misses Chicago deep dish pizza. It has been too long since we have been.
Kasa - yeah for mother/daughter trip. My mom and I are going to go the Indy this weekend. First we will go to Nashville, IN for a day. That was were Brian and I took the kids but I didn't really get to look around any of the stores because of the kids.
Juli - glad to hear Toby is doing well. That must have been fun to see him play with his toys again.
Deeder - sorry to hear of your frustrations with GRPS. TH and I need to sit down and have a real discussion soon about what we are going to do with our girls. We still have a year but really need to start researching our options now.
Deeder, sorry to hear about your frustrations with GRPS. That sounds really tough. My SIL just got a job at a GRPS middle school and she's actually really happy there. However, she came from a really rough school in Lansing.
JuliD, yay, Toby's better! Glad to hear that he's healing well.
Katers, good luck on your next step! Enjoy your freedom!
No prob. I'm using a new recipe tonight, I'll let you know how it goes.
I agree! I have the portable heater directed right on me.
Juli : I'm thrilled to hear Toby is doing better.
Charity: SS goes to Westwood Middle, which is next to Union HS. They don't have enough books for the students. If a class room has 35 desk, then they have 35 books. 1 book per desk, not per student. Sometimes students have to share books depending on the class. SS has come home a few times saying that "we didn't have science class today b/c 2 girl got in a huge fight and it took the entire hour to get it straightened out."
GVSU : I think you need to start early, like now. Visit the schools see what they are like. public vs private vs charter.
Kasa: What school is your SIL at?
She's not at Westwood -- one of the other ones (I don't want to post it here). Wow, that's awful about the textbook situation! I didn't realize that. I'm kind of shocked by that.
Andy just bought a portable heater.
Not to keep him warm.
Not to keep me warm.
He bought it to keep his beer warm.
It was getting "too cold" when it was fermenting so he bought his beer a heater.
He bought his beer a heater.
*sigh*
This is awesome.
I love that so much!
Also I am happy to report that I am now home, with two cats, a blanket and hot peppermint tea...I'm quite warm finally.
I have high hopes to spend my evening in pretty much the exact same way.
