Well, they've confirmed it, he has officially relapsed. The game plan right now is an intense round of chemo to get the Leukemia under control and then a bone marrow transplant.
They're going to be testing Tim, Shannon and the girls to see if they're a match. If they're not, then they start looking on the national registries.
While you can't direct who your bone marrow would go to, If you're interesting in joining the bone marrow registry, here are some links for information:
Canada: One Match
USA: Be The Match
UK/Britain: British Bone Marrow Registry
Becoming a bone marrow donour is a very personal decision and I'm not trying to push anyone into it. I'm more than willing to do the legwork if anyone needs any other info.
While you might not get in the system in time to help out Ryles, you could very well save someone's life.

This makes my heart hurt.
I'm going to find out if I can register, due to having a blood transfusion in November I'm not sure if I'm eligible right now, but I'm going to look into it for sure.

Poor guy.Thoughts go out to his family I cannot imagine what they are going through.
I am on US registry for bone marrow. It is really easy test, they just take you blood. If you are potential match they do some more testing. If you are chosen for a person across the country then all you expenses are paid for that trip. I have been on it for 5 years now and I have never been called, but 2 people from BIG bone marrow drive they had in my hometown were chosen only one ended up being the match then needed.

There's an organization called Be a Hero, Become a Donor. Their website is www.bahbad.org . It was founded by a high school classmate of mine who lost her son to a metabolic disorder, in spite of a cord blood transplant. And, my boss' daughter is now leukemia-free after a bone marrow transplant this year.
Donations are so important - blood, organs, tissue, etc.
Here's a youtube video of their story:

What makes it even more amazing is that her daughter donated a kidney to save the life of a child they met at the Ronald McDonald house while her son was being treated for his illness.
