creativity needed!
My brother is taking a HUGE leap of faith and gave his notice to his business partner (he owns 25% of a very reputable painting company that generally does work on Falmouth Foreside, Shore rd, etc) and is in desperate help of coming up with some marketing ideas. He needs to get cracking to fill his schedule for the summer. Right now his idea is "Dee Does it All" focusing on painting but also doing other stuff.
What do you think? For you marking guru's logo ideas or tag lines? Last name is Dee :-) Dee Painting,

Well first off, is he up with the RRP (Renovation Repair & Painting) guidelines that were enacted last year by the EPA? I just ask because my company needed to get EPA certified. It can be a pretty big fine if he's not certified and he gets caught removing paint from a home with lead paint. Sorry, just thought I'd mention it. A lot of people don't seem to know about this, so thought it was worth mentioning.
I'll try to think of some taglines/logos, but if I were him I would first just start doing some research and seeing who his competition is. See what others are promoting and have for logos, taglines, etc. and go from there. Right off the bat though when I look at the letter "D" it kind of looks like a paint can on the side. Might be a stretch, LOL

Oh yes, with several years under his belt, he knows what he's doing. He painted my parent's house in stages last summer and wouldn't risk painting without full gear on. The fines are more than $40k - it's not worth it.

Oh good! Yeah the fines are crazy, that's why I felt compelled to mention it. I have heard there are a lot of companies (painters and others) who haven't even heard about it. Scary if they ever got caught and fined! I'm sure most small time companies would go out of business with a fine that large!
