Is cash for gold a good idea?
I see the commercials about dropping off broken jewelry... is it really worth it???
TIA!
Re: Is cash for gold a good idea?
YES! I went to a place nearby called Saratoga Coin last year with some cheapo stuff that I used to wear as a teenager (charms, little thin necklaces, tiny rings, etc.) that I will not wear as an adult.
I ended up getting close to $200 for stuff that was just taking up room in my jewelry armoire.
i haven't done it, but i know people who have and some have made upwards of $900 on crap that they didn't wear anymore.
I went to the same place and came out with over $300. Definitely go to a jewelry store (most do it now) or some place like the Coin store. Actually I know someone who did well at a party too. What's great is that things can be broken and they also take silver. It's a great way to get cash for that old jewelry you'll never wear again.
