why do people sensationalize things?

We can work from home, especially when the weather is like it was this morning.  No questions asked. No need to take a vaca day.

there is this woman who I work with.  Very nice, but today she said they had over a foot and it was still coming.  The thing is she is out Rt. 3 in MA as if you were going towards the cape.  The South Shore of Boston in Scituate. She literally lives on the water.  Every report that I have seen says they only got an inch.  I even looked it up on line.

I just don't understand why she would like about it.  Unless there was a cloud that just dropped over a foot on her house. LOL.
