I am trying to help my friend come up with a V Day present for her boyfriend. We are both stumped. They have been dating about a year, not overly romantic, he's not a big drinker, not a gamer, and we are just drawing blanks. Any good ideas?
I suggested sending something to his office, but she thinks he would be uber embarrassed! TIA
Re: Valentines Gift Ideas
What does he like?
If he's more simple, maybe she should just cook him a nice dinner at home, rent some movies.
If she has to get him a gift, gifts.com has hundreds of gift ideas.
A Mrs. Fields cookie tin
boxers with hearts.
A book? Itunes gift card?
Chocolate?
Tickets to a play, concert, or sporting event?
I think that doing something special for Valentine's Day is important when you are dating, but I don't think a GIFT or something expensive is necessary. She can buy a bottle of massage oil and offer him a massage, cook him a nice dinner and make a special dessert, or make a CD of special songs (do people still do that? When I had boyfriends, it was making cassette tapes - - I am so old).
Nonono don't send anything to the office!! How embarassing for a man!
My suggestion: a Dairy Queen ice cream cake in the shape of a heart.
My DH would want a pizza in the shape of a heart. What about a goody basket with candies and snacks he likes, or a movie he loves, tickets to a concert/show. Or some sort of activity - like ESPN Zone or something you can do together.
I'm framing a concert poster for DH this year. I HATE this band, but he likes them.

Thanks for the ideas! Here is what she came up with:
1- A shower gel set from Bath and Body Works with a gift certificate to the place he gets his hair cut (salon)
2- or a gift certificate to a shaving place where it is all men and you can get pampered in a masculine way with the shower gel set.
3- a bathrobe with the shower gel set
Thoughts and suggestions? Thanks for your other ideas. I may use them for the hubs.
A beard trimmer.
I only say this because I just bought one for my fiance for valentines day because he's been complaining that the one he has is getting old.
All men grow facial hair, and if he works in an office he will probably want to keep it looking nice. The one I got was only $20 at CVS but they ranged from $16-$50 there.
If you don't like something, change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it.
