I am such a dork

I freaking fell down the stairs. Ok I don't know if fell is the right term I kind of slid and missed the last two steps. I stayed on my feet the entire time but omg I felt like such a dork.

Anyone else done anything completely klutzy lately?

  • stairs have been really dangerous lately. A good friend of mine fell down the stairs 2 times last week.

My best friend fell down a ladder last week

Neither of them were hurt too badly.. but i'm just saying.. stairs are dangerous.

  • OMG I had one of them moments just a few days ago, Ive walked to work the last year and a half the same way every day....and the other day i guess i found the curb I'd been missing lol, fell right on my hands and knees on the side of the road lol i even broke my phone which happend to be in my hand at time of the incident ( thank goodness it was a cheap getto phone) I wasn't hurt, but i was embarrassed that there were cars at the stop light that were probably watching me.

Oh man, this reminded me of an embarrassing story I'd pretty much forgotten about. I was having car trouble once in college, and I didn't realize it in time to catch the bus to campus. None of my roommates were around & my boyfriend was in class, so being the brilliant chick I am, I decided to jog the mile or so up to campus. I must have had something REALLY important going on in class that day, or I'm sure I would have just skipped & taken a nap because I am NOT a runner. I pretty much only run if I'm being chased. Anyway, I'm trotting up the hill, trying to get there in time without looking like a total spaz because the sidewalk I was on was right by the main road & there were tons of cars going by me. About halfway there, I tripped on a crack in the sidewalk & WIPED OUT. I didn't just fall. I wiped out & like, scraped my freaking face. It was mortifying. I shouldn't be allowed in public.

  • Every morning in our parking lot at work I almost wipe out.  The lot isn't paved, so they can't do a really great job at snow removal and it is essentially a sheet of ice.  The worst part is there are usually a few students that see my near wipeout each morning.

Um, yeah.  I was at the gym 30 minutes ago with my trainer and was trying a wider stance than normal for kettlebell swings.  Totally clocked myself in the pubic bone with a 20 pound hunk of metal.  There's an awesome bruise forming on my lady bits right now...

We bought MIL a pair a few years ago after a bad fall (at school, I think, actually).  And I kept telling Ross I needed to get a pair for myself.  So fast forward another year or so, and I found one in the middle of the road while walking the dog.  Brought it home to show Ross, thought it was funny, it got tucked away somewhere instead of being tossed.  Two weeks later, I found the other one.  I sh!t you not.  Maybe a block away, on top of a snow bank.  I can only imagine that it got caught up while plowing or something.  So I now have a matching pair, in my size :P  They are amazing.  But you do need to take them off as soon as you get inside.  You want to talk about smooth, I have grippers on, don't fall on the ice because of them, then get inside and slipped on the floor.  ::facepalm::

I think 2007 maybe? 2008?  I slipped down the stairs on St. Patrick's Day... before I had anything to drink.  It's the single worst bruise I have ever seen.    It's a phenomenal picture which I would share, but it's my butt in a thong.  Not sure that's TN-able :P
