Cheeky's Creamy Campanelle

I'm finally going to try Cheeky's recipe tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone had any substitutions or add ons.  I was thinking of adding spinach to it?  Anything else?

Re: Cheeky's Creamy Campanelle

  • last year i tried it with 1/2 parmesan and 1/2 asiago or fontina and that is now the way i make it most of the time. my favorite sausage to use is whole foods lemon thyme chicken sausage. i think pam or kmm may have added some veggies when they made it but i'm not sure . . .

    hope you love it!

  • I make it with shrimp and I've added steamed broccoli to it.  Soooo good!  I cut the red pepper flakes in half because I find the 1/2 teaspoon to be a bit much for me.  Love this recipe.

  • Love this recipe!!!  It is the best with sausage.  Joanna, love the chicken sausage idea - I will have to give that a try sometime.  I haven't tried adding any veggies, but spinach sounds like a great addition!  Let me know how it turns out.
