I am loving this show. It's hard to believe all this goes on about ten minutes from my house! At the end of first episode there was a white guy who got his head split open, who was going to his "brothers" house. Yea, he defiantly went to the same grade school I did, oye!

That guy waspretty goofy. It's not like he was trying to hit on her, just blazed out of his mind. I liked Colleen's "all families should try this...Mom's gonna love this one" comment.

Turns out that Rose is my parents' cross the street, 2 houses down neighbor. They have footage of her house in the very first episode. She just moved in a couple of months ago. Oddly enough the former owner was the goofy cousin of my friend's goofy ex-husband! They live on the west side (White Oak). We have lots of Cincy police in the western 'burbs!

We're liking the show but OMG, I'm starting to think that every last crime in Cincy boils down to substance abuse! And the 28 year old grandma to be?? At first we thought she was 40s or 50 & her daughter was late teens/20. I wanted to puke, cry, then puke some more when I saw that scene.

Oh, and Colleen rocks!

We watched that the other night. DH kept pointing out that's near my work, that's near this. Allison&Andy I can't believe that guy went to school with you. That's crazy. Oh that 28 year old grandma made me sick as well. She looked so old.

Also loving this show! The grandmother with the teen daughter who was prego just made me sick. I think I have been a bit naive as well. I guess since i grew up in a little town and then lived out in the country before meeting my DH i was not used to all this happening where i live.

Agree with the PP. I'm totally loving this show. I think the camera work and editing are just phenomenal and the stories are really interesting/sad/amazing all at the same time. I definitely have new appreciation for those who are police officers or fire fighters out there working the streets at night keeping the rest of us safe!

I do love the show- the one thing that I dont love is that they show the cops driving over the big mac bridge - into KY. I know its for show, but really, they cant patrol over there so whats the point. DH and I drove up some of those streets the other day and he was pointing out that they were on the show. I thought it was pretty funny.

Yes! The mother who works night shift especially pulls at my heart. How selfless.
