Best Bachelorette Parties
Ok ladies - I need ideas, what are some of the best bachelorette parties you've been to? Where did you go? What did you do?
I'm the MOH in a friends wedding this September and I'm trying to start thinking of ideas - we're planning for an Aug. 20th Bachelorette Party. She's anti-stripper for sure, but she would like a night out.
I was thinking of maybe doing a comedy club but I'd love to hear some other ideas. Thanks for your help!!
Re: Best Bachelorette Parties
Personally, I wanted an activity, like whale watching or a beach party (or skiing if it had been winter). Two of my friends were very pregnant and not able to do stuff like that, so the organizer went for dinner followed by dancing (I am SO anti-stripper... male strippers are just creepy). Most of the B-parties I've been to have pretty much been dinner followed by going to a club, and I've been to a couple of spa day ones too, which are nice (but more expensive, so may exclude some people).
As with any event, keeping your crowd in mind is the most important thing. If most people are into the activity it will be fun. If they aren't, it won't. I was happier having dinner with my super-pregnant friends than going whale watching without them.
DH went to a comedy club as part of his B-party... he loved it, but I wouldn't have. There's also concerts, shows, and even live music in smaller venues (less pricey), hot air balloon rides, sky-diving, horseback riding, go-carting, cooking classes, my gym even offers poll dancing classes for B-parties! You can pick out an activity your friend would be into and then follow it with dinner and drinks.
I'm sure you will do a great job!
lets see... had a party bus to go to wineries for wine tasting. Spa day followed by dinner and a club.
I've heard of but never participated in a scavenger hunt type bachelorette party. I am thinking of this idea for my SIL, she doesn't drink so bars and such are out of the questions
