Do you think you can plan a wedding around here in a few months?

If you are really open with your options?

Re: Do you think you can plan a wedding around here in a few months?

  • I think it could be done, exactly how many months is a few?
  • I don't know really. Four maybe. My wedding was in June and I booked 18 months in advance, but I had a big crowd, had things I really wanted.

But lets say its a shotgon wedding. And you really were up for anything.

  • I'm sure it could be done. And in this economy, I'm sure places that still have openings or have had cancellations would be happy for the last minute business.
I'm pretty sure it's pronounced your mom's a moron and if you didn't have your name legally changed by the age of 22, so are you. Unless you're from another continent. -Groomz
  • Oh, I forgot to say I planned mine in about 10 months. But there was a lot of down time in the planning.

  • Absolutely!  I went from having a year to plan my wedding to having four and a half months.  I didn't have to sacrifice anything with the exception of the room at the reception location.

  • Definitely, esp if it's right now and you're planning for March/April. Anything later might be harder just due to hitting high season.

I did mine in exactly a year and it was easy.

  • I did mine in seven months and had no problem booking great vendors.  All of the venues I checked out had several openings (August wedding).  I think if the person has an open mind, they could absolutely plan in 4 months!  She should order her dress ASAP though.

  • I got engaged last april and got married October 30th.  We planned a large country club wedding with everything we ever wanted in 6 months!  We couldnt have asked for more...It was exactly what we wanted....so if your organized yes it definately can be done elegantly.

We are "older" and wanted to get married on our anniversary....which fell on a saturday in 2010 sooooo we planned it in 6 months...we had also talked about many things before we got engaged so we knew we were on the same page.

If you need any help im always willing to help out!

  • Completely doable if you are willing to make sacrifices and not always go with your number one choice.
  • In this day & age, defintely! I think the only issue may be if the bride & groom want a church wedding. I know most have a year policy. Everything else should be okay. There are lots of great locations in S.Jersey.
