New Dog??? Vent
Backstory: A few days before our wedding SIL #1 found a dog wandering around outside the school where she works. She brought it to MILs house and MIL offered it to SIL #2. SIL #2 took it and once we told MIL we would have taken it she wished she hadn't given it to SIL #2. SIL #2 isn't very responsible as we realized yesterday.
Fast forward to yesterday: SIL #2 texts me asking if DH and I want her dog. She tells DH in a phone call that she doesn't have the time to housetrain her (when said dog is at MILs house she never makes a mess in the house). We discuss new dog over dinner and decide even though we decided a few weeks ago to stick to one dog, our house would probably be the best place for this dog. After dinner I get on FB and see that SIL #2 posts about getting a new lab puppy. DH calls MIL (who is so mad at SIL #2 she doesn't even want to talk about the dogs) and finds out that the new puppy is in fact SIL #2's dog and not her roommates. So SIL #2 found a new puppy and wants to push her other dog off on us. I was literally speechless.
I am so mad at her for being so irresponsible. Even though she had had this dog since October, she STILL hasn't gotten her fixed or vetted at all!! So that will now be our responsibility. I know we don't have to take the dog, but MIL already has 4 dogs and I can't let her go to a shelter.

WOW. SIL #2....I'd probably smack her. That's just terrible, irresponsible and makes me really mad.
I'm sorry you have to deal with that.But I hope everything works out for you and the dog.Yikes! How terrible for this poor dog...he must not feel very loved
But good for you for not letting him go to a shelter!
