I'm dumb.

I just felt the need to complain for a minute, so definitely ignore me.

DH got back from his last business trip a week ago. He left again this morning. So we were up at 3:30AM to leave by 4:00AM to get him to the airport in time. This is where I turned dumb. I decided that the gym would be a good place to spend 1+ hour before school opened. WTH was I thinking being at the gym before 5AM? To add insult to injury, today is the first day of the semester for the college I teach for at night. So I'm teaching at my "Day Job" until 2 and then for the college from 3:00 until 8:30 at the latest. Umm... I'm stupid. How I am going to stay awake all day is beyond me. ><

Ok, complaint done.

  • I'm just impressed that you took him to the airport! Good for you for going to the gym though! I think a cat nap is in order during lunch-- hide under your desk Smile

I'd seriously consider it. Except that I sleep through alarms. And my lunch break is 20 minutes.

  • When I taught college the first day was usually a"free" day -- hand out the syllabus, tell them what books to get and send them on their way. Can you do something similar & end class early so you get home and in bed?

Good call! Fingers crossed this plan works for you!

  • Yeah, that's definitely my plan. We were supposed to start last week and the snow day pushed it to this week. So I'm hoping to be out of here by 7PM tonight. I have to go over the class site, shooting assignments, blah blah blah. Ugh! I hope I don't have any super inquisitive students that ask endless questions all night.

  • I'm exhausted just thinking about your day!

Me, too. To add to it, today is the end of the 1st semester at my "day job" and the yearbook needs to be wrapped up this week before I lose my staff thanks to semester changes. So... yeah. This stinks. Last week completely spoiled me with only working 1.5 days. This week is kicking my butt and it's only Monday.

  • Just an update from the sleeping teacher. One more class then I'm going home to drink a glass of wine and undo all the exercise I did this morning. Thank goodness!
