Morning!
I've been checking on all my giftcards this morning. I carry a small wallet that is only for GCs and I realized I did not know half the balances. That is so annoying!
I found out his weekend that you can register your Starbucks GCs and get the "extras" discounted. So our Soy Lattes would have been at the reg latte price. Anything to save a few $$ these days, right?
Call me Kat =^..^=
i didn't know about this until recently either, but my friend has one of those fancy gold ones too!! and she says if you're getting 2 drinks, or a drink and a treat...get them to ring them up separately. then you get 2 stars instead of 1.
My Shopping Blog
Good morning. It's been an eventful day already.
1. I have a new boss! My office-mate of 5 yrs is now my boss. This is awesome news. We get along great and he "gets" it. Yay!
2. I finally have a surgery date to have my gallbladder out. Though I haven't had any major issues since Thanksgiving, my doctor recommended having it out now before there are any more problems and that the surgery and recovery are far easier when there are no current symptoms. I'll be going under the knife on 2/10. DH whined that my recovery time includes Valentine's Day, but I reminded him that we've never really done anything for it anyway so it doesn't matter. We'll just celebrate the weekend prior like we usually do anyway.
3. I talked to my GI about some test results. I have the same hemachromatosis, a genetic condition that causes organs to store too much iron, as my dad (which led to the cirrhosis that will eventually take his life). It's complicated. My iron is only slightly elevated, so I just have to get labs done every few months for now. With early knowledge and periodic testing, it shouldn't be a big deal for a long time.
