Yes I am married and NO I AM NOT PREGNANT!

Uh!!! SO I came down with a really nasty stomach virus or food poisoning or something friday afternoon and had to leave work in a rush around 2:30. What do I come into this fine Monday morning? "Are you sure it's not something else?!" "Are you keeping a big secret?" "Maybe your pregnant! Sqqquuueeel!" "You know, she just got married wink wink".

OK people! Did you do this to the 4 other people who came down with a stomach bug last week? I understand I just got married but we have no intention fo TTC for a while and it's just embarassing. Leave me alone! Can't I just be sick!?!

On a side note, I recently switched from Depo to the pill. When I was on the pill years ago, I used to get sick sometimes and I am terrified that it is happening again. I think I may go off BC entirely because I was up until 2 this morning again yacking my brains out. And in case you are wondering, no i'm not pregnant :)

Re: Yes I am married and NO I AM NOT PREGNANT!

  • I had an appendectomy when I was in High School and was really sick the week leading up to it, we thought it was just a bug that was going around the school. I got so sick that my Dad finally brought me to the doctor and I was COMPLETELY mortified because the nurses kept asking me if I was pregnant...over and over again!! Finally the blood work came back and they said, "Oh, I guess you aren't pregnant!" Thanks a lot, ladies!! It was humiliating enough, but made worse because my Dad was right there!! Then we had to zoom 45 mins to the bigger town that had a real hospital for surgery. Fun times.

People are crazy!! Good luck convincing everyone you are sick! :) Ha.

  • That is completely annoying!  I feel like because I gained a little weight people are thinking the same thing.

When I first went on the pill it took a couple of weeks for myself not to get sick.  Have you tried taking the pill on a full stomach?  This helps me.  Although if I forget to take a pill one day in the first 2 weeks of a pack, and end up taking 2 in 1 day, I get totally sick and yack up everything, so I try not to, but it happens every now and again.

    Feel better!

  • People are so lame.

First, I do hope that you feel better.  I'd hate to think it's the pill that's causing it, because that would be incredibly annoying.

This weekend, I crashed at my parents house (gram passed away in September and we still haven't finished cleaning her house out so I'm trying to help when I can) so I stayed there Friday night & Saturday night.  Literally, Sunday morning my mom got a call from her neighbor (and friend, who attended the wedding) asking if there was news she wanted to share.  We orignally thought that she must think Mike and I separated since I'm home without him.. but no.. nope.. I must be preggers.  She kept telling my mom; we figured Kear must be pregnant and in need of your help!  She must need her mother's company to get through the first few months!, etc, etc

    ...Again, people are SO lame.

  • I think so many of us are in the same boat.  It is so annoying, almost as annoying as the questions like "How's married life?" Sometimes people are just desperate for something to talk about.

  • See, I'd probably say something crude like, "Oh, I don't know. You've had kids before ... did you $hit your brains out for three days when YOU were pregnant? No? Then I'm probably not. But thanks."

LMAO I get really snotty when people ask me stupid questions. Like when I go somewhere without L people ask where she is and I tell them in the car, but dont worry I left the windows rolled down.

And just wait because once you do have a babes they start asking when number 2 is coming. We are already getting it and L isnt even a year yet! People need to mind their own business!
