I know tons of us obviously take a ton of pictures how do you guys sort them on the computer?
Right now I have folders for pictures by years and then in those folders are more folders for months and in the month folders by date.
Ex 2011
then sub folder Jan
then sub folder 1-23
I used to do by event within a year but now I'm taking a ton more pictures since Brynn was born (more like daily insterad of weekly).
I'm just looking for something that makes the most sense. TIA!

I don't take tons of pictures so I just make a title like the season and year (ex. summer 2010) or event (i.e. Hawaii 2010). These are directly in "My Pictures" folder. After a while I make a year folder in "My Pictures" and put any titles pertaining to that year into the folder.
I have one giant ass folder with pictures of the cats on the computer. I never divided it up. But I think down the line when we have a child it would be good to separate them by a month/age (or a couple months) at a time, unless it is a specific event like a holiday or birthday in which case I would put a title like I do now for events.
I have them labeled like:
Christmas 2010
Cedarburg June 2010
I have them all in one main folder, but I suppose I should make "year" folders and further organize them like that. I have to add a description to the name otherwise I will never find anything (I have too many pictures!)
