I'm about halfway through this, and the judgey-judgernaut in me is loving it.
A buffet meal at the Golden Corral after the ceremony (which is NOT her reception).

Re: Bored? Here's a train-wreck of a post on the Budget Board.
This has seriously been my source of entertainment for the evening, looking over her posts on TB.
ETA: She's so hellbent on being the victim, that she's attacking even the people that are agreeing with or defending her. ::facepalm::
I think she must be BFFs with my photographer.

So my question is:
Are we suppose to pay for everyone's meal that came to the wedding or do we tell them on the invites that they are invited to the buffet but that they pay for themselves?
I... am probably in the minority here, but I don't really understand why people jumped on her so hard. Yes, she was an idiot for insisting that this would not be her reception again and again, but her original question really shouldn't have been met with such anger, IMO. A simple, "No, you have to pay for them, period." would have probably been plenty and that would have been the end of it. But people drug it on for 7+ pages? That seems pretty insane to me.
Missing our little turkey.
Estimated Due Date 11/13/12 | Natural Miscarriage 4/17/12
Holy crap balls!! It's like a train-wreck the further and further you read.
1. She keeps fighting about whether or not it's a reception.
2. She doesn't want to pay for the 14 people attending her wedding to have a $10 lunch (she says she's just checking if she has to pay or not, but with her constant justifications the truth comes out)
3. She's TTC child number 2 at the age of 19???
Just makes me shake my head. And this child (has nothing to do with her age, and everything to do with her mentality) thinks she needs another child?
Oh my. I couldn't even get that far through it to see that. That's kind of sad...for the kids.
Tisha - I agree that she got more anger to start than was necessary. The entire Etiquette board is like that, and a lot of those women cross post (like most of us do). Who should pay for what seems to be a topic that gets JUMPED on, and even just an ignorant (as in uninformed, not as in stupid) question gets the immediate flame.
It drags on for 7 pages because she's an absolute childish, snotty, idiot. There's not a single person in that thread that thinks it's okay to have her guests pay for themselves, but she insists her friend did it, so it's okay.
Things she insists are true, but contradicts and/or are just crazy:
1) it's not bad manners to have her guests pay
2)dinner at the Golden Corral is $25pp
3)SHE'S AN ADULT, TREAT HER LIKE ONE (oy)
4)her Fi makes "d@mn good money"
5)She's 19 and a nurse with a degree
6)she wants 11-11-11, but said in another thread that the date in March is important to them to get married on
7)they're putting off the wedding because the guestbook, pen, and flower girl basket they decided they want is out of stock
8)she's 19, and will be 20 in 3 months (only 12 year olds tell people they're 19 and 3/4)
9)she works 2 days a week, 4 hours for spending money, but insists her Fi doesn't support her
10)she's getting married in November, having a buffet meal at the GC, but because she's not doing a cake, bouquet toss, or dancing, that it's not her reception.
11) "WE DO NOT WANT FRIENDS AT OUR WEDDING" which is not at a "chirch." And the 14 people are "just family" so it doesn't matter where they eat.
12)being 18 makes someone automatically an adult
and that's off the top of my head. Seriously, reading all her drama was better than one of those Housewives shows.

<shudder> I can't believe I wasted almost an hour reading this thread. I guess with all her ignorant remarks, that's what she wanted. If all that is true I just have to sigh.
Jena, I do have to admit that it was ALMOST as good as the RHOBH dinner party! LOL

OH! And the quote of hers that you posted about, "Just because I'm 19 doesn't mean I won't be 20 soon."
That's just a terribly formed sentence. They are 2 halves of different sentences. It should've been, "Just because I'm 19 doesn't mean I'm too young to have kids" or "I'm 19, and I'll be 20 soon."
Pooooooor kid. Poor, poor kid.
