We spent most of yesterday evening hanging out with Tim, Shannon and Ryley. This most recent round of chemo has really knocked him on his arse, as it's pretty intense (as much chemo in 4 hours as he'd usually get in 24). Apparently he was feeling pretty under the weather most of yesterday, but as soon as we got there he wanted to "go go", so we spent the next while tour the Hematology/Oncology floor. The girls got there a bit later with Grandma and I got to watch my first episode of Dora.
Then we went home and were in bed by 8:30. Apparently this weekend was tiring!
How is everyone today? Did you have a good weekend?

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Good Morning!
I feel so bad for the little guy, I really hope things go well this round. It is heartbreaking to think what he has had to go through so far.
We had a great weekend playing tourist in our town. Our houseguest who has been here for a month left today so we spent the weekend at the zoo and visiting the Heidelberg Castle. It was a lot of fun but I am glad to have our house back. We have a ton of housework to catch up on.
Glad to hear that Ryley was feeling OK!
We got so much done this weekend! I feel like half the condo is already packed up and stuffed into our basement locker like a Jenga puzzle. We still need to clean and put some finishing touches on things, but we should be good to list in the next couple of days. The agent is coming over to take a look.
I'm hopeful but nervous. There are two other units in our building which have been listed for a few weeks now, and one just dropped the price slightly.
We also dropped off Sherlock at kaesha's place yesterday and he got right at home. He seems to be very chatty with them, which is kind of funny because he's not too vocal at home. Anyway I'm really glad that he's in good hands and hope that he's having fun!

Poor Ryley. It also breaks my heart, but I am glad to hear he is doing Ok.
My weekend was very uneventful. It was to cold to really do anything so I stayed in the house all weekend. Took a well needed nap yesterday and was in bed pretty early.
It's freezing here today, so I am wishing I was at home with the woodstove vs here at work, sitting in my cubicle, and counting down the hours until it is time to go home.
major vibes to ryley!
Weekend was ehh... we can't even remember what we did friday night (I think we tried to start a movie but went to bed instead)... Saturday I had high hopes of running lots of errands as one of my new goals to feel back "in control of my life" is to get back to my OCD ways, I haven't made a list since this happened... so, like old times I have 5 going at once... I made a new spring wreath and then was going to run out for errands, but felt like sht instead. So I pretty much stayed in my pjs all day...
Yesterday we went to my belated birthday brunch with my FIL and SMIL. Then hit whole foods and a did a few errands I skipped on Sat. Then we watched the games and made dinner.... nothing too exciting.
On another fun/exciting note... in my "giving myself something to look forward too" category, we are going to host a st.pattys day beer tasting party. I'm already planning the food and decorations... I'm stoked.

It is SO cold here this morning. It was -3 F (without windchill) when I left my house this morning. The five minute walk to the T was seriously like torture. Now I am sitting in my office, over 2 hours after arriving at work, and still too cold to take off my coat. Already looking forward to sweating it out at yoga tonight.
Weekend was good. Out to dinner on Saturday with a friend, and out to dinner with grandparents last night to celebrate grandpa's 75th birthday. Worked out both days, cooked vegetarian chili for the week. Just wish I had gotten in more cleaning at home.
Morning, all. Raynes, I'm sorry about Ryley, and I'm sending him all the vibes and thoughts I can.
Hope everyone had a good weekend. H and I went to NYC. He had a great conference and I got to see Wicked while he was in his meetings. It was my first Broadway show and I really enjoyed it. I'll definitely be going back for another (and we both said we need to get to NYC more often for weekend getaways). We got our fill of pizza and are very happy.
Once home, we did some grocery shopping and we each talked with our parents. Today, back to reality until April when we go to Cancun.
Oh Monday. boooo you!
My weekend was relatively normal. Friday night we just lounged and watched movies on the couch. Saturday we were gone all day to a friend's family pitch tournament. It started at 2 and I think we finally finished the last game around 10 or so. Considering I haven't really left the house or done anything for almost 2 months, it was a total shock to my system and I was exhausted. Sunday I slept, and then I slept some more. DH was thankfully a very good pillow on the couch for me most of the day. He's still blown away that I can sleep all day and then sleep all night. I'm loving it, other than needing to remember to wake up and eat every once in a while.
Last night I just didn't sleep well in that I kept waking up starting around 3. DH finally crawled into bed after falling asleep on the couch around 4. He tossed and turned all freaking morning and doesn't remember any of it. It's like laying with a dolphin doing tricks in his sleep. Seriously? He almost got a swift kick to the nuts this morning. He couldn't just stay on the couch at 4am rather than wake me up constantly?
I'm really thinking it's time to clean out our guest room so I can actually sleep in that bed.
Good morning! I'm off (yes, again) today so the side effects of those antibiotics can get out of my system. I spent all day yesterday (sorry, TMI) running back and forth to the bathroom to be sick. Awful. Just awful. I was the last person to be seen at the clinic on Saturday, got in at 12:55 and was seen at 3:00 and within 2 hours of taking the antibiotics started feeling rough... and I've been like that since.
Anyway, Sherlock is back with us and he's sitting on my lap right now as I type this, insisting that I get back to what I should be doing, which is petting him. Oh, wait, he's decided he's had enough of my divided attention and is sitting in the window sill where I've set up a blanket for him to lie on. He makes this adorable high pitch grunting noise when he jumps up. Cracks me up! I love pets.
Anyway, I'm off to the drug store. My doctor friend tells me that the antibiotics are probably useless because most cases of sinusitis are viral, so I might as well stop taking them. I'm going to get some heavy duty meds, a neti pot and hope for the best.

I had a nice weekend. On Friday we stayed in because I wasn't feeling very good.
Saturday we registered for baby at a second store and tweaked our original registry. We also had a nice lunch at one of our new favorite restaurants.
Sunday we watched football for most of the day and hung out with the IL's.
I have a doctor's appointment this morning. Hopefully it will be another routine appointment and I'll be in to work after that.
Raynes - Thanks for keeping us updated on Ryley. Keeping him in my T&P's.
My weekend was a lot of fun! Friday J took me out to lunch and then we went to Lowes to look at some new lighting options for our living room.
Saturday we went to Flemings Steakhouse with two other couples. The food was amazing! Then we took a limo to the Stock Show and watched a rodeo. The limo ride was so much fun!
Sunday we went to the in-laws for dinner and watched the football game. I loved watching cry baby Cutler pouting on the sideline!
LOL I love the grunt.

Does he talk to the birds that are imaginary outside? Sort of like a clicking noise and grunts. Very funny if you've never heard it.
Our big white cat grunts and yips when she jumps up or down on things, too. Cats are fun in their own way.
I wake up to the clicking and meowing and grunting at least a few times a week. Aaron says the clicking is her "chuckling."

kaesha - I have found that the sinus rinse (made by the same company) is a little easier to use. It's in a squeeze bottle, but works the same as the neti pot. I started using it after a sinus surgery, and have been a firm believer ever since! It might be a good idea for you to use it every day to clean out the "school germs." Hope you feel better soon!
I had an AWESOME weekend concluding with the Packers going to the ship! As a result I am also really tender today. Good thing there are no students.
I am spending my day writing IEPs and playing on thenest
.
University starts again tonight which means I'll be exhausted and STARVING by the time I get home.
I've got the squeeze bottle sinus rinse thing too. It's awesome (and weird).
I love listening to our cats "talk" to the birds.
Speaking of our cats, they went nuts this morning around 3am. They were chasing each other allllll over the house, which included up and around on our bed. Not impressed.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
This is why we don't let Rex in the bedroom.

My weekend was pretty busy.
I worked Saturday and Sunday. After work on Saturday, I went with my friend to Detroit to order my bridesmaids dress. Then we went to Olive Garden. Unfortunately, it didn't stay in me very long and I felt horrible the rest of the night.
I was scheduled to run 9 miles on the treadmill after work on Sunday but after I stopped at mile 5 to have a GU and a small drink of water, I started having horrible stomach pains and almost threw up. So sad that I didn't get my long run finished.
Hey ladies! It's Tuesday morning here now and I'm off in a bit to meet with a recruiter. If I don't know anything about a job before the end of the week I think I may go crazy.
The weekend was amazing, we went to a beach town called Sihanoukville and stayed on a secluded beach about 7 miles out of town. Our bungalow was literally ON the beach, and there was a restaurant and bar right there and umbrellas/beach chairs. It was complete paradise and as I was laying there getting a full body massage in the sunshine I briefly considered moving to S'Ville and just making E visit me on the weekends.
Yesterday was back to the daily routine - cleaning up around the house, unpacking, doing laundry, etc. Fun fun.
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
