Buddha or other grahpic artist

I'm working on a project for work and I need a star and then the person's photo ontop of the star.  I have the apps on my ipad and can mash the photos together no problem. but the clip art has the white background behind the star.  I can't figure out how to get rid of the white background.  It's going into a power point so it looks really odd with the white background.  My work lap top doesn't have Adobe and IT can't figure out how to load Adobe Flash on to my lap top because they suck.

Do you know any way other than Adobe Photo Shop to get rid of the white background from the ClipArt?

  • If you want a quick fix, you can put the image in your ppt, and then in the picture toolbar, there's a "set transparent color" tool.  Click it, then click on the white background.  It will disappear, but anything else that is white in your image will also be transparent.

  • glad I could help.  If you do have an area of white in the picture that you don't want transparent, you can draw a white shape that fits inside the star, place it behind the star, and then group the two objects.
