I just want to say, it is FREEZING here in Massachusetts. I woke up today and it was -4 and feels like -24. YIKES! At least my apt was toasty warm.
DH is sick
He's been sick for a week or so, I haven't caught it yet and I'm hoping I won't catch it!
Still haven't heard about the 2 new positions at my work. Hoping to hear about it this week though.
Today is going by relatively fast, but I want it to go faster!!
How was your weekend?
Re: Happy Monday! (NOT)
My weekend was pretty crappy. Friday night I stayed in and caught up on some DVR shows. Saturday I fell on the ice and sprained my ankle, so that ruined the rest of my weekend. Sunday I watched football while DH was at work.
The highlight is the Packers won!!!
Its horribly cold....and its monday...not a fun combo!
Oh a positive note I did laundry for the first time in our new washer/dryer and I'm obsessed!!
Oh it must be nice for laundry to be an enjoyable experience!
My weekend was good - saw some friends we haven't hung out with in a while, made a kick ass dinner Friday night and mostly just relaxed for once.
I feel so sorry for you all in the freezing temps........ I'll be nice and not share w/ you todays weather forecast.
@Amanda: -5 isn't that bad! We had -19 below yesterday morning
@Julie: That sucks that you sprained your ankle. Hopefully it heals soon!
My weekend was okay. Went by way too fast! I did get some more sewing done and actually feel like I am making progress!
And yes, the Packers won!! I'm super excited that we are going to the Superbowl!! YEEEHAAAWWW!
And in honor of the Bears: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj5aW0tj3mE

Amanda, I could have written the exact same post as you! It's freezing, DH was sick all weekend, and I have also applied for 2 internal positions at work that I'm waiting to hear back on.
My weekend was pretty good except for DH being sick. On Saturday I went into NYC and met up with a close friend to see a movie and grab something to eat. Afterwards I went to Macy's and got some good deals. DH and I were planning to go out to dinner Saturday night, but when I got home from the city he was curled up in bed since he'd gotten a lot sicker through the day, and we ordered in.
Yesterday I ran out to Target for a little while, and then watched football. Glad the Packers won but I'm disappointed about the Jets.
TTC #1 since 4/10, Dx: MFI IVF planned for April/May
Not only is it freezing outside, it's freezing inside too! Someone - or something - managed to shut the boiler off at work so it's been an icebox in here all day. I think it's slowly climbing but not fast enough!!
My cousin in PA had her baby on Friday! My newest 3rd cousin Violet Olivia was born 2 weeks early at a tiny 5 lbs. but she's healthy and all are doing well!!
I'm happy the Steelers won; I'm sure my family in Pitt is all doing a happy dance over it (except for one cousin and her husband, who are die-hard Penguins hockey fans but hate the Steelers; they are Pats lovers). I'm bummed the Bears got their butts handed to them - not because I'm a fan but because I can't stand the big-shot team that beat them (I know I'm in the minority on this one!).
Saturday was a fun day but I was happy once I got in for the night since it was sofa-king cold!!! We went to my friend's son's 1st birthday party then went and saw the Green Hornet.

Yep, Girls, it is also frigid from where I post also! We officially had one of the coldest days on record over the weekend, and today is not much warmer. High temps still in the 20's...with windchill making it much more frigid...It's all good, though. I'm appreciating the upcoming spring all the more :-))
Saturday we went out and tended some errands, and had lunch at one of my all time favorite restaurants - home of the best cream of crap soup in the whole wide world!! I also made a kick-ass dinner on Sunday (and a super yummy gravy!) and got some great quality time in with H. There is something to be said for these extremely cold temps
Happy Monday, Ladies!!
Brrrrr, hoping for an early spring for you girls! Weather here has been nuts - like 80 degrees! I'm enjoying it, but my plants are WAY confused!
My weekend was pretty boring, but I was able to take a break from work to see the Packers win!!! WOOHOO!!!! Superbowl!!!
@Julie, hope your ankle heals soon, that really stinks!

A10 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination: San Francisco!
Brrr is right, I had to deliver notices to all 90 apts today at my pm site! I was pretty well dressed but it was still cold.
I had a pretty good weekend, got some studying and laundry done, relaxed and watched some football. Extremely disappointed in the Jets to not kick some Steeler a$$ but hopefully my fellow nestie Packer vibes will help the Packers win the Superbowl!! I think watching ARodgers play this weekend made me realize how good he is and for that as well as my distaste for the state rivalry I hope the Packers win and the Steelers lose.
I got some more crocheting done so hopefully by next month I'll be on my way to finishing my afghan!

I was out sick yesterday. I have been battling a cold/cough for about a week now, and yesterday I had a fever, headache and ear ache to go with it. Feeling much better today though!
I was so excited that the Pack made it to the SB! And, wish that the Steelers wouldn't have. I am just sick of the same teams over and over again from the AFC making it.
Couple of articles that show just how bat-Shiit crazy some of the bears fans are...

No offense to Barb or any other Bears fans, but I have been to one game in that stadium, and it was enough for me. I couldn't believe how disgusting some of those people treated others. It was outright horrible! (I had a 40-year-old woman screaming at me about a foot from my face then entire time I was trying to walk out of the stadium...and the bears had WON that game)! I have been to games at many other stadiums, and nobody even comes close to how some of the Bears fans can act. I went to a Pack game wearing my Suh jersey this year, and not one single person acting prickish about it. No meanness to anyone wearing Bears gear either. I just don't get it. I LOVE football, but I would never treat another fan in such a way.
