So I am sad (football related)

That neither the Bears or Jets won (I always root for the underdogs) so I am going with.............

The Packers. It has been a while since they have been to the Super Bowl w/o Farve.

Re: So I am sad (football related)

  • I was really hoping the Jets would win last night, but after the 1st half it was rather apparent that it wasn't going to happen. So sad.
  • Jeff was in a really cranky mood last night because of this exact thing. As long as the Packers don't win I don't care who does. Stick out tongue

Yes  I was rooting for the Jets (but only because the Packers played them earlier this year and won Stick out tongue).  It'll be a good game with the Steelers though, especially since they are both great teams with great histories and fans who travel well to see them!  (It's crazy how expensive it is to go though!!)

  • I just think the Steelers are overrated and it proves the Packers can make it w/o Farve!

I know! haha. But come on I come from Bears territory! Even though I seriously could care less about football I care about the rivalry. You did mention that. What did you do there?

  • Even though I am willing to bet that the Steelers are going to win, I am rooting for the Packers. In my opinion, ANYONE but pittsburgh. As a Browns fan, I am allergic to them and their obnoxious fans Stick out tongue

  • Jordy Nelson (WR) for the Packers went to DH's high school in Riley, Kansas!

So, since they aren't playing the Chiefs, go Pack go!

Haha, I get it!  It's the oldest rivalry, so it was certainly a good game to watch, funny that it had only happened once before!

When I still lived in Green Bay, I curled there as well and our club was a vendor.  So we worked one of the built in booths.  Different groups could do that and the $ would be donated to their organization, kind of a nice pay back to the community.

When we were done setting up we could go sit in the stands while the players were warming up and many times they would run stairs and come over to say hi.  So for a few years at least, I had met many of the players in the league.

That sounds like a pretty cool experience!
