Crock pot pork roast?

Re: Crock pot pork roast?

  • I have only made it once, so I don't have much to compare it to. But I used this recipe and it was pretty good!

  • I have made this one on allrecipes a couple of times now and we all think it's nummy.

  • I'm a fan of easy recipes when it' sin the crock pot.  We just dump a bottle of beer and a can of cream of onion soup in it and let it go with some cut up potatoes and baby carrots/celery/whatever's in the house.

You can do a can of broth instead of beer if you want.

  • We just made one on Saturday for the first time! It was super good.

We seasoned the roast with a steak rub. Covered it in flour and browned it. Put a can of beef broth, some onion and carrots in the crockput and put the browned roast on top. Let that cook on low for about 5 hours, then added some salt and peppered red potatoes into the crockpot and cooked for another hour. The meat just feel apart, so tasty.

Sorry, this was for a beef roast. For some reason I didn't see "pork roast" and now it won't let me delete my comment.

  • I just made a pork roast for pulled pork sandwiches.  Slice onions and scatter on the bottom, toss in a shoulder pork roast, pour about 3/4ths a bottle of bbq on it and let it cook on low for 8 hours.  I think it would be good on its own without the extra BBQ sauce and shredding for making sandwiches.
  • I keep it simple, but I just do a can of chicken broth, sliced red onions, some rosemary, salt and pepper, and let it go on low for 6-8 hours. YUMMY!
Lots of love and continual explosions of babydust to my BG Besties! XOXOXOXO

  • My go-to pork recipe is this: place 2 cuts (or however many you want to make!) of boneless pork in the crock pot with a bit of water or chicken broth in the bottom so it doesn't scorch. On top of each one, sprinkle some brown sugar, place a round lemon slice, a few raw onion slices, then squirt ketchup on top. Cook on low for 6-8 hours and voila! Super easy and surprisingly yummy. You can also bake in the over at 400 for an hour.
