Had our first therapy appointment today with Tristan

We are on the road to helping him out. The therapist agrees with our doctor's diagnosis of pica, and also feels Tristan may have some compulsion issues. If left untreated could develop into OCD behaviors. So, he's happy we brought him in now so he can start some cognitive behavior therapy with him and hopefully "retrain" his brain. It's such a relief to have help for him!! Thanks for all your support for us, and my little guy!

I'm so glad that everything is coming together to help him out! Kids are amazing creatures - they can learn and unlearn and relearn and I'm sure that with some help he's going to grow up to be an amazing young man because he has you guys to help get him there!

Oh that is great news cakes! Thank goodness that this was picked up as early as it was. Kids are very resilient and Tristan will be fine with you guys behind him helping him every step of the way!

I'm glad to hear it went well! It sounds like you found a great therapist to help him out with his problems, and I'm sure that this will be a thing of the past in no time and Tristan will be all better.
