Need love, vibes and prayers
One of my best friends lost her son last night. He would be 16 in a month. He died in a tragic gun accident. His 18 yr old sister found him early this morning. I was with the family all this morning. Please send anything you can their way- and make it easier for this time in need.
She was telling me this morning she is sad. but she can feel the prayers people are sending her way because she had a sense of peace. I want to keep this going in the days to come-

I lost a cousin that age when I was 12 or so, same thing, gun accident. My brother found him, and cleaned up afterwards. Something you don't think about, is that the cops aren't there to clean up
Not their job, but so so so hard on the family if they can't afford to bring in a professional to do it. It's the tiniest blessing that there is another child in the family. My cousin was an only child and his mother just kind of lost it. But that's a morbid tale that I'll leave for another day.
You're a marvelous friend. I can't imagine having to be the strong person in a situation like this.
ETA: May we have a name (first, or the family name)? I don't know if it sounds silly, but being able to send thoughts and prayers for the "Smith family," or for "Tommy's family," seems more powerful to me. However, I understand and respect their privacy.

And to those of you not FB friends and would like to know it is the Blackwell family.
Today was worse than yesterday on them. I am hoping and praying it will be better when family comes in to town.
Luckily for them a church friend is disaster relief cleanup. They put it to top priority on their list and got it done by mid afternoon the morning it happened. I can't even imagine having to do that themseleves.
