DESPERATE to find a new way to organize my kitchen drawers. i live in an apartment and have limited kitchen spaces - plenty of cupboard space but limited drawers. I have 2 drawers overflowing with spatulas, whisks, measuring cups, mixer attachments, and rolling pins that are the most dreaded part of my kitchen. any suggestions??
Re: kitchen gadget drawers
We keep some of our big utensils (like bamboo spoons/spatulas/etc) in a large mason jar on the counter.

None of our kitchen drawers are wide enough to really store this stuff nicely (so it looks neat).
I have one drawer w/wooden utensils and rubber spatulas.
I keep a crock on the counter with all of my larger utensils (that are safe for our nonstick pans).
Everything else is crammed in another drawer. And I literally mean stuffed.
We keep the mixer attachments nestled in a mixing bowl in the cabinet. Our measuring cups are nestled together and in the cabinet next to the stove; they were always just tossed in when they were in the drawer, but something about the cabinet encourages everyone to stack nicely. Weed out any spatulas, etc. you don't use/need. We store our utensils in an expandable bamboo drawer insert similar to this (but with longer slot spaces):
I picked it up from Ross for about $7. Stack like items together and you can fit an amazing amount of items into it while keeping everything neat and accessible.
