Anyone have vacation plans coming up?
All I can think about is sun and sand in this freezing weather! We are going on a cruise in May, our first one ever. I am nervous and excited about it. I heard great things but I am such a beach bum on vacation and am worried I won't have enough 'beach time'. But I am super looking forward to food food food!
Who else has vacation plans getting you through the winter?
Re: Anyone have vacation plans coming up?
Well we have plans for the far off future...at the latest summer 2012. We are saving our vacation leave (two weeks worth) and $$ to take our dream vacation, a luxury cruise in northern Europe. DH's family is Norwegian so we are dying to go to Norway and cruise the fjords and the islands north of Scandinavia where you can see polar bears.
Thinking of that vacation definitely keeps me going when I'm watching my coworkers take leave, and I'm not!
We're going on our honeymoon March 5. Cruise to the Southern Caribbean.
We didn't have enough vacation time to go right after the wedding. We got married in Ohio but live in Colorado, so we spent all our vacation time travelling back and forth to plan the wedding and go to the wedding.
It won't be long before the weather in the swamps becomes unbearable again, so we're enjoying the cold as much as possible. We have a some road trips planned in the next few months, one to Lubbock for my sister's 21st, and my bridesmaid Meagan really wants to do Mardi Gras in Galveston, so that's in March. And lots of camping in between before the parks turn into mosquito pits.
I envy all of you who get real winters.
Big, big like the moon...
I'm a total beach girl, but so far all we have planned is to go to Alaska in late summer/early fall. My brother-in-law was transferred to Anchorage for work. My sister-in-law leaves this weekend to go join him up there. H is just excited to hunt caribou and...whatever else they have up there
)
We may also do a little weekend trip somewhere in May for H's 30th birthday. He hasn't decided where he wants to go yet though.

VIVA!!!!!! We had wanted to do VLV this year for our belated honeymoon and it's just not going to work out. Oh well. Maybe next year.
We're going to the beach for a week in June. Dreaming of our beach house is the only thing getting me through some of these cold days, I swear!
