Has anyone had an event at Wright's Farm?

My brother's 40th is coming up, and my Dad and I are going to throw him a party. I was thinking that getting all his friends together at Wright's would be a fab idea. Looking at their site, you can make reservations for 10-36 people, and that you need to have 225 people for a private room.

Can you not have a group of 50-60ish there??

Help :(

  • You can have a large group of people like 50-60 but they won't give you the whole private room.  The "carriage room" in the back.  They also will still make you wait for your table even though you have a reservation, however, the wait time will be drastically reduced. All of your party needs to be there in order to be seated as well.   I've never had a problem with the cleanliness of the place at all, and you can check the dept of health websites for any violations of code such as roaches.  Because you don't have enough people to book the private room and they are a PIA with reservations, you may want to look somewhere else though.

  • I haven't heard anything bad about it either.  Its dated but for the price you can't go wrong.  I think its worth checking out.

Ugh, I was afraid of all that. That's crazy that they would rather have a ton of people standing around.

I was actually looking at Twelve Acres, and they link to Spumoni's site. Spumoni's is CRAZY cheap! Might have to look into that one as well.

  • Have you thought of Savini's. They will give you the upstairs for 50-60 people and if you don't have that many people they have a smaller private room downstairs.

  • I've been to functions at Wrights and never had to wait for the entire party to be there.  Once for a rehearsal (sp? bear with me, I'm in a migraine haze) and for a large dinner party twice.  (all within the last 5 years)

I have heard awesome things about Spumoni's but I've personally never been.

I know Chelo's in Cranston does a private room, I've used it :)

That's about as helpful as I get.

  • I had both girls Christenings there with about 40 people.  They sat us when 90% of the people were there.  It was in the Carriage Room and they have their own bar, so people just hung out in the lounge until they seated us.  Granted, it isn't a private room, but they seat you together at long tables. They even cut and served the cake for us.  It was so much less expensive than other choices and we all love the food.  I have never had a problem with cleanliness.  My grandmother waitressed there for 25 years and we go all the time.
  • Thanks everyone. I'm looking into a bunch of options. :)
