First Valentine's Day as husband/wife..
As I look at the calandar and see that January is coming to a close I'm starting to think of Valentine's day. Do you have any big plans for your first Valentine's Day as husband and wife?? We are going out for dinner and a movie..a nice date night out. I'm trying to think of something special to get my H or something special to do that we will look back 10 years from now and remember our first V Day. Any ideas?
Re: First Valentine's Day as husband/wife..
Hm... I guess that I never really thought about it... I am sure it will probably be dinner and a movie or something like that... And I have been racking my brain on what to get H for Valentines Day... And I come up with nothing... Usually I just end up getting him a video game or something... LOL... I look forward to seeing what you ladies come up with though
This fall I introduced H to a new place in town. It's advertised as a sushi place, but since he doesn't like fish, it also has things like ramen and oriental salads, and, well, he loved it (probably helped that for the two of us with dessert it came out to less then $20). We've been dying to get back, so for V-day, we're going to make a special trip. We're going to see about a movie, but if not, then we might just explore our town a little bit. There's a ton of things neither of us has ever even heard about!
As for a gift... well, there's something that H has wanted for a very long time. It's this awesome mouse specifically for MMO gaming. It's basically what all the professional gamers use. I was poking around online, and found a wholesaler selling them for cheap (ebay, so I could check the refs and use paypal), and it was a special edition one too. Sooo, I bought it, lol. Gonna give him some money and tell him to get me an awesome gift too. Of course, we didn't really do Christmas, so this is kind of an extension
BTW, this is the mouse: http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.219936100
I really wanted to do a swanky night downtown Chicago and unfortunately passed up on this Groupon deal at a nice hotel. We are also trying to save money like crazy for house so.....might be something like dinner in with Chef Nicole? It will be some sort of event-definitely not a huge gift year!
H and I have already discussed it. We decided that we're going out to a nice dinner and who knows, a movie too maybe. And we're getting each other silly cards, because throughout our whole relationship we have gotten each other mushy, love cards and for our first V-day we want to do something different. We also said that we weren't getting each other gifts, since it's our first few months in a new apartment and we need to save as much as possible right now. But I'm getting him some of his favorite candy.
Lol, when H and I were living apart and couldn't see each other for 5 months, I sent him these cards every other week with literally like two pages of writing in them. I hope you saved those cards. I know H did, and I can't wait until I have kids so I can show them
We have yet to celebrate a Valentine's Day together!! Last year we were pretty close - we were even in the same state, just opposite sides. Much better than our standard separate continents!
I just sent Hubby a care package today that included a huge heart shaped box of chocolates - in pink camo!! (yeah they're gonna give him a hard time about that one!) I've also sent him 4 cards (becuase I liked them all) and a small album of pictures of me & the dogs.
At the last minute I threw in a replacement wedding ring for him, becuase he's gone & lost weight. Why is it so easy for guys to lose 20lbs and it takes girls like 5yrs to do the same?!? LOL
