Providence Restaurant Week

Do you love any of the restaurants that are participating, or have you found a place with great menu options? We've only been to a few on the list, so any recommendations are welcome!

Re: Providence Restaurant Week

  • Luxe Burger Bar - yum!

Sienna is delicious; I've only been to the one in EG, but I hear the one in Providence is great too!

I went to the Duck & Bunny with my friends - very cute; I got a delicious crepe.  I'm not sure how the other food is though.

    Love the Grille on Main.

Let us know where you go!

  • I just went to Ruth's Chris last night and it was FABULOUS!!!  A great girls night out

  • DeWolfe is amazing (and the chef is HOT; he's from DH's hometown); unique Indian-American fusion.  Any of the ones of Federal Hill are probably good; Red Fez is also super yummy.  Have fun!

  • love love love gracies! (it actually reminds me of that commercial where the couple goes to a fancy restaurant, orders dinner and the portion size is extremely small, so they end up going to the convenience store afterwards....but seriously, the combination of tastes in their dishes is like a party in your mouth with every bite!).

cafe nuovo is amazing. CAV and Hemenways are good as well. ruth's chris apparently (according to DH) has "the best steak he's ever had" (i've never been) capital grille has really good steaks as well. Siena is very delicious for italian.

I've been to twist on angell, don jose, and red stripe, which are good, but "reasonably" priced normally so I would go somewhere fancier if you're going to be paying the 30/pp anyways.  Thats what DH and I do...I can't believe some of these places like Ri-Ra for instance are on the list next to gracies.  if i'm going to be spending 30/pp, I'm going to go somewhere that DH and I don't normally eat at b/c its of price.  I love restaurant week and think its such a great way to try places that you have never tried before :)

Just went to Providence Oyster Bar and did not really like it.  I would probably skip the  places like Mcfaddens, Fred and Steves (not a fan), Ri-Ra.  Let me know where you go! I might be making reservations somewhere for Friday night for us!

(wow, can you tell i love food and eating out? haha)
