so those of you who do CSA- do you also garden? I'm thinking about doing one (or possibly both)- obvs if I had my own garden I could have more control of what I'm getting but with a CSA- you just pick it up...
thoughts? I dont want to have veggies coming out of my ears...

Re: **CSA and a garden?**
Depends on the timing - like if you want to grow a lot of herbs to have on hand, whereas a CSA you might just get a bunch of basil here and there. With my CSA, I wanted more tomatoes, basil, summer squash, etc. and so I'd probably consider growing my own.
A lot of people use a garden to teach their LO about growing food.
Have you done a CSA yet?

When we did a CSA, we split it with someone and we still had a TON of veggies. I don't think we could eat enough to keep up with both.
We didn't do CSA last year and intended on planting a garden. We tilled it and then grew grass because we worked so much we didn't have time to plant. Since we are now proven to be lame, I think we may go back to CSA!
We might also just head down to the Farmer's Market each week though, so we can pick what we want then. (CSA can be an experience... sometimes you get a veggie and you have NO CLUE what it is. Then, once you figure that out, you have to figure out how the heck to use it. As annoying as this can be, DH also found it to be a fun challenge.)
