  • No, I am totally lame.  I work in D.C. for an advocacy agency and I really don't care about politic much at all. Embarrassed

  • It's on too late over here, but I am trying to go over the transcript whenever I get a free chance at work today.  I'll try and catch it again tonight, we normally get it the next day on t.v.

  • Yep. I thought it was a pretty good SOTU speech; H and I zoomed in on his remarks about education and innovation because we both work in education policy (with a slant towards science ed policy, specifically). His comments about strengthening community colleges, working to revamp the K-12 system, and make higher ed accessible is what we love to hear. Considering the Heritage Foundation thinks cutting out NSF's elementary and secondary education budget is a good idea, it's always great to hear the rebuttal that STEM ed needs support and development at all levels.
