Hump Day is here! Hump Day is here!
So far, so good this week. It feels like my work level is finally getting back to normal after our big year end push. That makes me incredibly happy. I don't mind having a lot of work to do, but I don't like drowning in it.
Really sore from working out this week. That's good and bad. 3 workouts in 2 days is a normal routine for me, but with being sick for so long, I had to sit out a few. Yogalates & running kicked my as*s on Monday. Then I pushed myself on last night's run pretty hard. Meeting a friend to go walk this evening, so hopefully that will help loosen me up before tomorrow's run.
Made these for dinner last night: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/02/chicken-enchiladas.html and they were freakin' fantastic!!!!!! I'm really happy that we had leftovers and that we get to have that for dinner again tonight. Let me tell ya - I'm nota fan of the leftovers usually, but these, well - I thought about having them for breakfast b/c I wanted to eat them again so badly. It's always a nice feeling to find a recipe that's a grand slam with both the H & myself.
Re: What's Up Wednesday?!
The last few weeks have been crazy busy at work, because we're releasing the beta version of our website this afternoon at a giant meeting with our new president/CEO. SO EXCITED!!
Ran with the KY group last night because I won tickets to tonight's UC game, and my legs are hurting today! Wearing heels isn't helping things much.
Other than that, just looking forward to lunch! I'm starving.

That enchilada recipe looks awesome. We love enchiladas and I think I have all that stuff on hand! I must try it.
Post-vacation, I feel almost like I'm returning to someone else's life. Someone who was a complete rockstar. Seriously, how was I juggling everything? I'm a little worn out. I'm trying to get my brain back to normal, but I'm running late everywhere; yesterday I forgot my lunch (and realized when I went home to get my lunch that I had also forgotten my sports bra, which would've made running group pretty fantastic), today I forgot my flip flops for the gym shower, stupid little stuff. I am also quite annoyed that I'm late getting my Monday notes done, and today the boss sends an email about the importance of timeliness with notes (they're supposed to be done in 24 hours). It may or may not be a coincidence and it may or may not be directed at me, even though I'm rarely late with paperwork and I know people who are nearly always late. So I'm trying to ignore it. But now it's annoying that I tried to use the wifi and the computers at the gym and now at the library and they're not working with the site I need to do my notes anyway. So in frustration, I logged on to the nest instead.
Hopefully I'll slowly begin to unfrazzle myself. I was surprisingly not too sore this morning from the speedwork last night (which was pretty much insane!) but I think circuit class took care of that this morning. Holy ouch.
I like that website! DH loves Trader Joe's enchilada sauce but it's just a little too spicy for me. I mix it with a little bit of meat, some beans & cheese, wrap in tortillas, cover with the rest of the sauce, & bake.
This hasn't been such a good week for me. Our Lily had a mast cell tumor removed two weeks ago. Her incision started looking a little funny-what I didn't realize is that she had developed a bad infection b/c our other dog was most likely licking her wound when we weren't home. Our male dog had some pretty bad GI issues this weekend, probably b/c of all the licking. We had a very expensive vet visit on Monday. Now the dogs have to be kept separated while we're not around for at least a month, maybe two, while her wound heals. They think our male dog has some out of control OCD behaviors so we might put him on some behavioral meds once his tummy is better. I feel like the worst, crappiest pet parent in the world right now.
Gawd, that was a downer. Sorry.
Sorry daves_sweetpea it always sucks when your furbabies aren't feeling good.
I am totally excited that it is Wednesday. I have made like a 1,000 to do list today and am working hard on them. Nothing going on just another typical Wednesday. DH started a new schedule this week so he is working later than usually and it's throwing me off but we'll get it figured out soon I hope.
Love it. I think I put mine on before going to work today.
Aren't they great? They never not fit
