I'm homesick.
...and sick in general. I've been confined to my bed all day with the remains of food poisoning from last night. Boo.
Anyone want to cheer me up? Tell me a joke? Mention something about how awful the US is so I don't miss it so much?

Aw boo. The first time I got sick when I went away to university was the only time I really got homesick. Nothing like being confined to bed to do that to a person.
Ummmm, it's been SUPER cold and snowy here lately. Like, -20?C (or -4?F) cold. You don't want to be in that.

Not really bad about the US in general, but my state. Well here in Maine, it is freezing, lots of snow on the ground, expecting more snow tonight and our new governer sucks donkey balls. He has no class and doesn't know how to speak in public. He has been in office for 2 weeks and has already made national headlines with the things he has said. Here is the most recent thing.

They kind of were off with their weather prediction here.... said it should have rained/wintery mixed in the night... but no issues getting to work... um there is already 3-5" down.... traffic is a MESS out there on 76, 95, 202, etc,etc...
It's supposed to stop for an hour or two and them come back and dump at least 4 more inches (probably more)..... I don't mind a snow storm, but we've seriously are getting them every 3 days.... this isn't Chicago, Canada, Colorado, etc... PA isn't supposed to be like this.... stay in the warm sunshine lady!

Food poisoning is the WORST! I am so sorry.
Do you know what exactly got you sick? I had the stomach flu a few weeks ago and dropped 12lbs in 3 days (awesome) and for the first day I thought it was food poisoning. It was never ending.
Now I have a sinus infection, which sucks, but I'll take it over what you've got any day.
My mom does marketing for the Taco Bell/Pizza Hut/KFC/Long John Silvers where I'm from, and I sent her that article when I saw it yesterday. It freaks me out. I get what the other ingredients are, but I can't wrap my head around them making up the other 64%.
