I have a co-worker (T) who isn't a pleasant person to anyone, drivers, co-workers or anyone else. She is miserable in her marriage, and takes it out on everyone around her.
So I came in from lunch and had a fruit smoothie I made for dessert. They all know I'm "dieting" and started a gym. A different co-worker C asked what kind of diet I was on. I replied I'm on the pork and salmon diet. I eat like a pig and drink like a fish.
Well this other nasty co-worker (T) had heard a beeping sound and C asked what that was. Want to know T's answer? "Must be Romarie's backup sounds."
are you effing kidding me?!?! And believe me, she is NOT one that should say anything about anyones weight. I really can't tell if I'm more pissed or hurt?!
Re: OUCH!! Words hurt!!
Ouch is right. Even if someone meant it in a "haha funny" way I don't think that is appropriate. At all. :-( It's too bad she's so miserable. :-(
I love this! I'm so going to steal it next time I have the opportunity.
I'm sorry, I know how you feel. It sounds like she has a lot of negativity and meanness in her life but that's no reason to take it out on you. Why do people think they have a right to comment on someone's weight?
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
I don't think something that mean could ever be even an attempt at funny. I would call her out on it, and ask for an apology.
That's very rude. I'm sorry!
I totally LOLed at your diet response. Cute!
This made me laugh. Coworkers suck. It's that kind of day for me too.

Wow. Harsh. Event meant as a joke, that's not funny.
Your diet response was funny, though :-)
