OMG, look at this little pudge
I want a dog. When I was a kid I hated dogs and slowly over time I've been thinking, I want a dog. I think H is wearing down too, he wants to get a retriever someday. Like, well after we have kids which is a long time from now. But that doesn't stop me from looking around petfinder.

Look at that little pudgey baby girl! I totally want to cuddle her and get her on a diet. Look at her face in the second picture. BAWWWW!

ugh-freakin-dorable!
H has banned me from that site... sooo unfair. He says two dogs is enough, but I soooo want another. If it wasn't for our HOA and it only allowing two dogs per household, I would be fighting it more. I love rescuing animals. Also why I'm not allowed near a shelter... I always come home with something
....
OMG cute!
DH has also imposed a no-more-than-two-dogs-rule
I want a third reallllyyy badly and sometimes send him cute puppy pictures just to taunt him. I told him if I can't have a baby for awhile I want a puppy...still didn't fly.
Oh my, she is a cute little sausage!
We wanted a dog forever and got a cat, but he makes us so happy. We decided a dog will be better for us once we own a house with a yard, probably once we have kids and they're a few years old.

Yes, a yard is a must. I would feel bad for a dog, no matter how small, who had to share this relatively small apartment with Mittens. The turf wars would be ugly.

awww
I'm obsessed with puppies (note: i seriously call dogs of all ages puppies).
I actually worked in a city office that issued dog licenses, and I was in charge/organized everything for about 5 years. I had to manually input every single dog in the town that was licensed, adn it killed me!
We're starting to look at houses, and once we fence in our yard, we're going to get a second dog, and hopefully eventually, a third.
I have this dream of rescuing adult dogs someday, to give them a nice, loving home in their last few years.
AWW that is so incredibly sweet!

That's what we did with our Lhasa. She was a puppy mill breeder dog and spent 6 years of her life in a tiny crate, only let out to mate and have puppies
I rescued her 4 years ago and she is the most loving dog ever. It would break my heart to get ones any older though because I already have nightmares of my dogs dying and I wake up on the verge of tears.
This is us, too.
I've had to ban myself from the petfinder website, though - some of those doggies are so stinkin' cute!
