"My Strange Addiction" on TLC

I just got home & am watching the episode from tonight & it's freaking me out. Some episodes are just interesting to me, but this lady who's addicted to picking scabs is just making me sick to my stomach. And the guy who's been in a relationship with his "Real Doll" for ten years reminds me of "Lars & the Real Girl" & makes me sad.

Is anyone else watching this show?

We watch it and it completely freaks me the f&*k out. Dude with doll is random, but the people who eat crazy stuff make my stomach hurt.

I mean Comet, the couch cushions, the toilet paper( and this lady knew which ones were easier to digest) Craziness...

SUCH a good movie, but exhaustingly sad at the end. I've seen it like three times, and I always cry my eyes out & need a nap.

In other news, I got curious watching this show & looked up "Real Dolls" online. It's pretty much porn, but it's like a totally NOT sexy trainwreck I can't look away from. I'm reading the FAQs. They're like $6k and have so many options. It seems they deal mostly in female dolls, but they have male dolls too & you have to choose their penis size. The options are flaccid, small, medium, large, and extra large. It seems like their sole purpose is to be a giant sex toy, so why would you ask for a doll with a flaccid weiner??

The toilet paper lady was on Rachael Ray. She ate like a rolld a day, that is just wierd. I don't think I could eat toilet paper if it was the last thing to eat.

The real doll guy is super creepy! He talks to her like she's human, goes out shopping for clothes that "she likes." Weird!

And yeah, the scab picker kind of makes me feel sick.

Yikes, I've heard of it but never seen it. I can only handle so much of those shows (I put it in the same category of Hoarders & Intervention.)

Okay, not to sound weird, but am I the only one that likes to pick their scabs? I'm not addicted by any means, and certainly don't get cuts specifically to pick the scabs, but if I happen to have one, I'll pick it.

I haven't seen this show and I don't think I could watch. I heard them talking about it on the radio last week and almost vomited while driving. I think if I actually saw this I would throw up. I love to watch shows about "special" people (huge fan of hoarders right here!) but I don't think I could handle this!

I've never seen this show, but only because we don't get very many channels, so we don't have TLC. Boo.

Anyway, I don't really pick my scabs, but I do really (I hate to use the word enjoy, because it makes me sound like a weirdo) enjoy peeling my skin when I have a sunburn... or anyone's skin really. It doesn't gross me out or anything. I'm so squeemish about other bodily stuff that you'd think it would.

Too bad Kieth does not like having his skin peeled when he burns though. Damnit. I have to sneak it in. lol

Brooke - yep, I pick at scabs...and did you know if you have a scab where a mole is and you pick it, the mole still comes back?

I've only seen one episode, the cushion eater. They added up that she'd eaten the equivalent of something crazy like 7 couches, 2 love seats and 2 chairs. EW!

I have it on the DVR unfortunately it doesn't always record but we made sure to get last nights. I started watching when they had the girl who ate chalk.
