3 day potty training...

Does someone have the guide that they can email me?

plammypoo1677 at yahoo dot com

A coworker has a 26 month old, and he wakes up every single morning soaked.. to the point he has to throw him in the tub, and wash everything.  He is in a size 6 diaper now... they don't sell a larger size.. do they?  Has anyone had experience with this?  I was thinking maybe adult diapers just to get him through the night?  I have no idea..

Re: 3 day potty training...

  • I've seen size 7s in Pampers Cruisers. Huggies GoodNites also come in 7s. Pull-Ups / EasyUps go bigger (sized by clothing size though... 2T/3T, etc... not as absorbent as regular diapers). Diapers.com has all of these.

As for the 3-Day Potty Training, I can forward it to you. I haven't started it with Shannon because she completely lost interest and I'm not fighting with her. But, I've got it for our next attempt!!

  • I can send the 3 day thing too. As for overnight - honestly, once we switched to cloth diapers we have no leaks at all. If you want some info on what she can buy for just overnight in cloth I'm happy to share, wouldn't be that bad really.

We haven't started with Ben yet - we need to break the bedtime milk habit first, let him get used to that for a few weeks, then we can see if he's ready yet. No interest, doesn't stay dry, and never tells us when he is wet.... so we're not even close yet :-(

  • Got it!  Thanks Alicia!!
  • DS used to soak his overnight diaper too (though not to the point of it leaking that much, eek) - can they double up on the diapers at bedtime?  Cut him off on drinking after 6:30pm if possible?

Maybe the potty training will work with him, but I know that DS was not even close to ready at that point.  We just worked on it with him after his 3rd birthday and it went much better than our attempts a few months before.  He still wears diapers overnight though, and I will say that they are not nearly as soaked as they used to be since potty training!  I have the 3 day potty training in my email and will forward it to you.  We didn't use that approach.

  • Alicia, could you send me that as well!  Would love to read up on that!  Cordelia pretty much trained herself but not sure what R will do.  She already tells me when she is pooping and asks to be put on the potty..but then sometimes she doesnt care..I am not pushing it since she is so young.
  • Sent it your way, Jerrah!

  • so a.  my giant toddler wears a size 6 diaper now and they do make 7s.  Let's not even remotely joke that this is the end because he will sit in poo ALL THE LIVE LONG day than be changed.

    2.  I put him in huggies pull ups for overnight.  To avoid any future confusion, we "pull them up" instead of putting them on like a diaper so when the HOLY time does come that we can PT (I'll need a hug) he won't think they are diapers but just what he wears at night still we can have a conversation (god willing) that eventually he'll be out of them.

and they do sell inserts that you can put in the diapers overnight (at BRU and Amazon that I know of) but since I limit his drank after dinner we haven't had too many issues, unless "someone" forgets and gives him milk 2.5 seconds before bedtime.  sigh..

  • Alicia can I get a copy of 3 day potty trainin' too? Thanks. It's my nest name @yahoo.com if you don't already have it (which I think you do)
  • You've got it, Jen!
