So, Wonder Weeks. I like the information that it gives but it is obvious that it has been translated from another language..."Mothers may think that their children should show respect for others at this point"...umm?
I get annoyed and a little alarmed with most of the testimonies. A LOT of them say something about wanting to harm their children or wishing they didn't have a baby. I'll admit I get frustrated with May (especially during the 5th week spurt, that was horrible) but I don't know that I ever said or thought that I hated her. I'm not judging them for feeling that way because everyone reacts differently, I just think it's odd that every single one of the moms they have testimony from felt that way.
I shared the info with my babysitter thinking she was going to be convinced I was a nutjob but she actually said, "You know, that is really interesting, because I have noticed that with a lot of the babies I have watched, they ALL get like that at this age!" Clint on the other hand- not so convinced I'm not a nutjob.
Re: Rachel
So I'm beginning to realize that I probably didn't read many of the testimonies. I also didn't read the section on what the mother may be feeling because those all seemed the same thing (you may be frustrated, you may be tired, blah blah blah). I think I jumped around a lot.
I love knowing the development that's happening, though. A friend of mine has a daughter a month younger than Nate. We were just comparing notes the other day. Nate has just come out of his extreme clingy phase (WW 40-something, that's supposed to end around 52 weeks), and Alex is going into that phase. I feel smart being able to tell her that Alex is going to go through the same stuff Nate just went through, and they're going to have a rough month! But it will end and life will be fun again.
