Shelley is sick of snow. Shelley doesn't care that this has been a record breaking month for snow. Shelley wants it gone.

Re: Third Person Thursday
Wendy finally got to hear Pocket Pookums hearbeat yesterday, which was pretty cool.
Wendy wants to send extra big T&P's to all the Oct 08 nesties who need them, it seems like January is not a good month for a few girls and their families.
Alicia is mad at the DC gov't for making her come into work. Not everyone has the option to telework!
Alicia had to spend the night at her IL's house with Daisy since she lost power at 9pm last night. Alicia's awesome FIL dropped her off at work so that she didn't have to take vacation time. He is then going to pick Alicia up at 4. Alicia big puffy hearts her FIL.
Alicia thinks its funny that her boss said he is proud of her for making it in today when it wasn't about being dedicated to work, but rather that she didn't want to use her only 8 hrs of vacation time just because the stupid gov't wants to make up for closing for an entire week last winter. Alicia may feel bitter about this all day.
Alicia is excited that Pooks hear pocket pookums heartbeat yesterday!
Alicia also wants to send out virtual hugs to everyone going through a rough time this month
Shelley is glad Alicia had a warm place to go last night. Shelley hope Alicia has power at her house and no pipes froze.
Alicia says Thanks! And Alicia's father in law said that she shouldn't have to worry about the pipes since it is above freezing today and the house should retain heat above freezing for the night. Alicia fortunately is in a middle unit TH so the other houses keep hers warmer.
Alicia is happy that her FIL is a Master Plumber and knows all this stuff cause she didn't even think about the pipes!
Alicia is really hoping the power is back on now, but unfortunately has no way of knowing
Shaina has to go home at lunch to check on Sadie. Shaina doesn't mind going home normally, but today is a busy day to get stuff done since she's off tomorrow.
Shaina hopes the weekend is better than the week.
Shaina found out that it will only be $120 for her mirena plus a copay at insertion. That is less than what Shaina pays for 6 months of BCP and the mirena lasts 5 years! Plus Shaina has the money in her FSA anyways, so it all works out.

Teresa is bummed that everyone else got snow last night. Teresa lives in WNY, she should be getting all that snow!!
Teresa woke up this morning and thought it was Saturday... until that pesky alarm went off.
Teresa is anxious for DH to talk to BIL. (I'll do a separate post for this becasue it was starting to get really long.

Kate is ready to quit her job. All the joy that she has for teaching has been sucked right out of her--she is completely mentally and physically burnt out and it's only January. It's not Kate's students, because they are a good group of kiddos this semester, but the admin is horrible!!! They are so oppressive, demanding, out to save their own hides and just mean. Kate has not received one positive comment on any of her observations in the last 4 months and it is like that all around the building. Kate is seriously contemplating 2 things (even though the job market for teachers SUCKS around here) One-- resigning at the end of this school year and trying to find a job outside of education and/or Two--asking my doctor to write a letter so she can be put on long term disability and finish this school year at home it is that bad!
Kate is amazed at her son's tolerance for pain since his 2nd tooth has pretty much broken through--that's 2 teeth in 2 weeks. Yikes!
Kate is happy for Pooks-- she loved hearing hearbeats at her appointments!
Kate is also very jealous of the east coast ladies... she lives in Colorado and you would think there would be snow, but Colorado Springs has not had more than an inch this whole winter!! Kate is a sad panda about this!
Dana is tried of snow!
Dana is happy that Andrew took a snow day with her and Xander today.
Dana can't wait to take Xander out in the snow to play after he wakes up from his nap and has lunch.

Christen is so sleepy from staying up late to finish a project... Her class was over today and she's kind of glad, yet kind of sad...though the real semester starts on Wednesday.
She also considered calling out of work to get some rest, but decided maybe the money was more important. So Christen is drinking some coffee and going to suck it up!
Juliana wishes her DH would be more into the whole baby thing and not *** about having to go to ONE appointment!
Juliana wants to get rid of her cat because she is really starting to get on my nervs.

After being at work for 2 hours, Alicia's work dismissed everyone due to sporadic power outages. So Alicia's awesome FIL came and picked her up and brought her back to the house, but she still doesn't know if she has power yet. She really should call the neighbor and see whether they have power, but is just being lazy since IL's have a nice backyard for Daisy to play in (even though she is currently taking a nap next to me in the kitchen).

Brie would also like to send hugs to anyone having a rough time.
Brie could use a nap. It's been a hectic week at work, and while her efforts have been appreciated, a break would be good.
Brie is trying to plan a vaca to Vegas for mid-March to celebrate turning 30 with Drew and any friends who want to tag along for the ride. Brie is excited about this not only because it's Vegas, and yes she entered in the Nest's contest as well, but because she and Drew haven't taken a real vacation since the honeymoon. Now Brie just needs her boss to approve the time off request.

Summer had a nice morning getting ready with her hubby and baby and getting to feed Campbell and not pump!
Summer is annoyed she had to come in for a meeting but is thankful the roads were perfect.
Summer is getting sick. She has a sore throat and her nose is stuffy and her ears are hurting a little. She just took Tylenol since that's her only option!
YAY for Pocket Pookums' heartbeat and Yay for Alicia getting to go home! Boo for Kate - that's a really terrible situation. Summer hopes it works out for the best!
Jessica is super excited we got so much snow, I love it!
Jessica wishes Kiley would nap a bit longer then 30 minutes.
Whitney sends hugs and vibes to all the girls out there needing them.
Whitney is having trouble focusing on anything and is really hoping for some good news soon. She wants to be able to think of other things again.
Whitney is frustrated with Ben's work. He has worked late almost every night for the past two weeks (twice past 10PM) and Whitney misses having him home. They really need to hire more people at his office but are not quite ready to yet. Hopefully he will go back to full pay soon and hire a few more people to lighten the load.

Summer cannot believe Alicia doesn't know what conversation hearts are!!
Dani has a funny story about conversation hearts. One Valentine's Day back in pre-school, Dani ate so many conversation hearts that her dad had to pull the car over into a parking lot on the way home from school so she could puke. A random passerby saw a her dad helping her back into the car and thought that her dad was kidnapping her. Dani assumes that the passerby wrote down her dad's plate and called 911. Shortly after Dani and her dad got home, 2 cops showed up at the front door and accused her parents of kidnapping a child. Dani's parents explained what happened and told the officers that she was upstairs puking in the bathroom and that they were more than welcomed to go see her to confirm that she was their daughter. The officers declined, apologized, and told Dani's parents to have a nice day. Dani has hated conversation hearts ever since then.
Alicia feels like a dummy. She now knows what y'all are talking about. She didn't know what they were called. I think she just called them the heart candies with sayings on it. Yeah she is a dumb blonde.
And LOL at Dani's story!
Dana thinks it was a waste for Alicia to have to go into work today. Dana is wondering if Nick's flight was delayed or canceled?
Dana, Andrew and Xander went and dug our cars out. Xander had fun in the snow until he ripped his mittens off and his hands became too cold and started to scream!

That's funny!
Alicia totally agrees that it was a waste, but at least she didn't have to take 8 hours of leave like the other people who elected to take unscheduled leave instead of coming in. Alicia got 6 hours of free leave out of it.
Nick's original flight wasn't delayed but he totally missed it because he left his jacket locked up in the show area the night before and couldn't get it out early enough. So instead of coming home at 4pm he is now coming home at 10pm
Alicia is none to happy about this, but at least he has a direct flight. His earlier flights weren't delayed though, BWI really cleaned things up apparently.
Alicia says "Awwwww" to poor Xander's freezing hands. He better learn not to rip those suckers off!
Shaina just wants to state she never really liked conversation hearts, they tasted chalky to her.
Shaina is made she lost an ebay auction at the last second for a bathroom facuet. It would have been nice to get one for half price.
