Wife Chop!

Okay, so I'm lame and don't have any pictures, but I did it! My hair was past my bra in the back, and now it's just a little below my shoulders, and has some layers. I love it, and DH seems alright with it (he loves long hair).

So, anyone else cut their hair post-wedding??

Yup! I cut mine off two weeks after the wedding. 16 inches! then another 2-3 inches in layers.

I just had some layers added in for some 'umph' (is that a word?) but I am too scared to cut much length, my hair is so curly and looks like a frizzy guinea pig if it is too short!

I got a few inches off - I was going to do the wife chop, esp since it makes sense being in the Army and all - but I chickened out Embarrassed

Less than 24 hours after the wedding! I had my hair (which was down to my bra) cut into a reverse bob. But it didn't come out that well. I'm planning on getting it cleaned up this week, have it back to one (short) length, and doing it in curls for awhile.

I haven't yet, but I've been dying to! I'm thinking that I'm going to let it grow a few more inches and then I'll chop it and donate it to locks of love.

That's what I did! Donated to locks of love.. I found some pictures just so I can be an AW

Yay! I bet you feel great!

I am letting mine grow now. My DH proposed a week after I chopped off my hair pretty short for me (above my shoulders), so in the months leading up to the wedding I only got tiny trims. It's a lot better now, but I still want it a bit longer.

I had 7 inches chopped off. And then another 3 or so in layers a week after the wedding.

I'll probably let it grow out for a year then chop it off again.

I think I'm going to let it really grow out this time and donate it. 7 inches wasn't long enough, I guess I needed 10.

I cut mine to clean up the ends but not short like I used to wear it. Growing it out for the wedding revealed that I actually seem to look better with longer hair.

The biggest change I made: I had some low lights put in (with some highlights too). My hair needed to be darkened a little as the blonde was just a tad too bright.

I had 2-3 inches taken off all around about 2 weeks after the wedding. Not a really a chop, but definitely a trim.

I chopped mine! I had it past my bra line as well and then a little above my shoulders. Now it's a little past my shoulders already. It grows out really fast so I guess it wasn't that exciting for me.
