I love the hatred my neighbor has for me. I've talked her grandson a few times about not scaring the cats, yesterday being the most recent. I'm sitting right next to the window today. I can hear him yelling at the cat and banging on the window with his hand. So when I saw him back up a little I punched the window. He hasn't come near my house since. I saw him outside later and he honestly thinks the cat did it.
My neighbor just yelled at me for scaring him. I'm sorry, maybe you should be supervising your grandson and telling him to respect other people instead of telling me how to act. I know you can't watch kids all the time but come on. There's at least half a dozen times a week she asks me if I know where he went.
What I did was a little childish though. Next time I'll try the nice way again and see where it gets me.

Re: love thy neighbor
I love what you did and I would do it too!!
I swear if we dont have kids Ill be "that" old lady that hates all the neighborhood kids!!
I'm sorry, she yelled at you after her grandson was harassing animals??????
I honestly don't see anything wrong with what you did, you said you've already talked to him several times and clearly that wasn't working!
I would've lost it a long time ago! She sounds like a crappy guardian.
I live in a townhouse community and we rent, so our yard isn't really "ours" but every spring, summer, and fall we have kids who use "our yard" as as kickball field. I can't take my dog out w/o them being right up in her face (I do say something) and they use our fence as 2nd base so they are constantly throwing a ball at the fence which rattles that side wall of our TH. We ask them to stop but don't feel like there is much else we can do b/c we rent and don't own and the yard is kinda shared with our immediate neighbors. I don't know, this spring I might just lose it because the dog freaks out at all the noises all around. I think what makes me the most mad is their parents just never, ever supervise. They live down the street and they are out there from the time they get off the bus until it gets dark. (When do they eat or do homework?!)
haha! That's hilarious. I'm glad you did that!
In SC our yard was the only one with trees (new construction neighborhood) and the kids were always in there. H yelled at them so much that when his truck would come down the street they would all scatter like bugs. We were definitely the crotchety people on our cul-de-sac!
Good for you! **high five**
I hope you told that lazy biotch exactly what you told us - about her Grandson being a menace.

ugh I don't blame you at all...next time he does it and if she says something I'd be like "how about you teach him not to torment animals after I've asked him to stop and how about you watch where he goes...I'm not his mother"
We have kids who run around all of the time and we do have a fence but we don't have it for our whole backyard and our house is on a lake lot so they use both sides of our yard to go through to the lake even though technically our house isn't a path like some other houses are alloted for...when we get a new fence I want to gate of both sides haha
We've had bikes, basketballs, baseballs and even an mp3 player left in our yard...I put the mps player inside our alcove but where the kids could still see it so it didn't get rained on but after a week I threw it away...and I back up and ran over the damn basketball one day ugh. They are usualy fairly respectful but it's strange to me that people don't teach their children more manners.
