Waxing...possible TMI

Hello ladies...I'm usually a lurker as this is only my second post ever.  But, I was wondering if you all go full Brazilian, keep a landing strip, or go au natural.

In general, what does your DH, FI, SO, or just guys in general prefer?

Re: Waxing...possible TMI

  • I go au natural....it just doesn't seem right to go in for Brazilian and keep hair.

as far as DH he seems to like it best that way...

is this going to be your first time going in for one?

  • I'm not sure what my husband prefers but I prefer to keep it all clean, I shave don't wax but I can't even stand the tiniest bit of stubble

  • how painful is waxing? the only thing I've ever  waxed is my eyebrows

  • It hurts but not like OMG all day hurt, there just quick pulls and then its just sensitive for a few hours, I've tried both wax with the cloth and the Harding wax that they don't put a strip on and just pull that off, so far the place that does the 2nd has been the best for me.

  • Im pretty sure my skin is tooo dang sensitive for waxing. Ive gotten my eyebrows done before and it was terrible...bleeding and swollen...and I dont want that anywhere else on my body hehehe

I do shave though...very carefully and I take special care in the days after cleaning my skin with various beauty products to fight off ingrown hairs&swelling&irritation.

I like it better because theres so many more nerves exposed with the bare skin...you feel everything!

I prefer my husband to keep himself neat and trimmed. He typically does...though I never asked him to...I just compliment it so he knows.

  • I used to do full shave. Years of it. But I tore my abdominal wall back in June and for about three months H was lucky if I showered. Heck, I was lucky if I showered. Haven't gone back since. Gotta admit, I don't feel a difference in sex, H says he doesn't care either way and I am enjoying 10 minute shower instead of 20.

I would love to wax, but I do my armpits and that hurts enough.

  • A neat, even trim.  My H has asked if he can just use his buzzer (the thing that cuts his hair, not a funny name for "him") on me...

I had my armpit hair removed with a laser - it was a bit pricey but I wanted the lasting result.  ^ session, every 6 weeks for $300 (a groupon).  It was well worth it and if I ever decided to do my bikini, I would go straight for a laser again.

  •   All things equal. I'll take a sugaring or waxing.

I usually leave some hair on the pubic mound as it's the most sensitive area. Everything else is smooth, smooth, smooth. Better for keeping "clean". Wearing a bathing suit without worrying about escaping "spider legs". and makes for totally amazing oral sex.

  • I do an extended bikini wax, which is between the brazilian and a basic bikini wax. Waxing really doesn't hurt that bad, if you see someone who knows what they're doing. My waxer equated it to wasabi--the pain is intense but over almost immediately. I think that's accurate!
  • I shave. Sometimes I shave it all, sometimes I just do the bikini line and trim the rest, just depends on my mood. I've never waxed, and I don't find shaving to be that much of a hassle, so I'll stick with it.

SO likes it bare best, but he's not about to complain as long as it's under control.

    Life is good today.
  • DH is not a fan of completely bare- he equates it to children. So its very short and well kept for me. I also use a nice trimmer without the guard, as a pp mentioned.
  • I don't shave or wax- anything- if it gets too out of hand I trim it down. I've made the mistake of shaving it all off a few times, I hated it. It looks prepubescent and wrong...idk. Done the bikini waxing once before not painful but my skin get really irritated as the hair grows back.
  • I have thought about it but too scared! I might to it sometime. I don't like shaving - I think it gets stubbly and feels icky. I just use electric clippers to keep it really short. DH does too. He shaves every so often but last time it really chafed ME so I asked him not to!

  • Landing strip.  actually because I think, for me, it's the most flattering.

Waxing isn't bad if you know how to do it or go to someone who is a pro.  If they don't know how to pull correctly or are too impatient with the wax, it hurts like crazy.  Get a recommendation of who to see...

  • THe hardening wax without the strip is the best... I used to keep a landing strip, but now I take it all off. It looks sexy to keep that little bit of neat bush, but more comfortable to just be clean.
