We're moving stuff around the house. A lot lately. Cleaning out the spare room (making it a nursery) changing Gabby's room around, cleaning out the laundry/utility room and the garage. These rubbermaid type drawers were in our closet holding random clothes, but since we moved a second dresser into our room we don't need it so it's currently in G's room holding toys. It's ugly. I don't like it. But, it serves tthe purpose well.
Can I spray paint it with like that plastic adhearing spray paint? I was thinking white and I guess the drawers could be light pink? Will that look stupid? Any other ideas? Should I just suck it up and buy something else for G's toys? Gah!
Re: Help me repurpose this?
I'd stick it in a closet and give it a purpose in there. That way it is useful and not in plain sight. We had an extra night stand that has 2 drawers, so it is now it K's closet holding his sheets, towels and receiving blankets. I like that I can use the top for storing the extra diaper bags and the big packs of diapers.
I'm not sure about painting it, as I'm not sure how the paint would take to the surface.
My Profile
I've never used that stuff to paint it. I would say give it a shot and it it comes out horrible then trash it and get something else. Those are cheap enough that it isn't a huge waste.
I was going to suggest a sheet or tablecloth as well.
But, the closet idea is great too, if you've got room in there.
