Well, all of the bag of garbage are now in the bin, just a few more trips with arm loads of plaster and the junk in the basement will be gone. Just another step closer to the home gym. I think I'm going to go and buy an aerobic step this weekend too. And some 45 lbs plates. I'm a beast.
We don't really have any plans for the weekend, and that's exciting to me. We might go grab a beer (or 4) with one of my coworkers/friends tonight, but if we don't, no biggie. It's nice to have a clear weekend for once!
What's everyone else up to this weekend?

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Happy Friday!
I'd say good morning, but: we're going on hour 38 of no power, heat or hot water. I hate, hate, HATE Pepco. Last summer we lost power over a gust of wind and one strike of lightning in the sky (seriously). Between Metro and Pepco, it makes me want to leave D.C. now. Our estimate for restoration is 11pm. Gah. H and I just might stay downtown tonight so we can sleep in a warm bed.
Assuming we have power over the weekend, we'll do our usual: gym, grocery shopping (to replace everything in the fridge at this point), writing and reading (past 4:30pm, we hope). If we don't have power until Sunday like Pepco says could happen, we're staying downtown for the weekend. Local tourist time? Maybe!
Susi, that's horrible. Sending vibes that you get your power back soon!
I'm grabbing drinks tonight with some local Nesties, so looking forward to that. Tomorrow, DH and I are going out to Wimbledon to walk around and look at the neighbourhood, since we're thinking of moving there in May. Sunday we're going for Sunday roast with some friends and then I have book club. I'll also try to get up both mornings to watch the Australian Open tennis finals. For us, this is an action packed weekend

Morning ladies. I am so happy it's Friday. Today should be a catch up day at work, and it's my second WW weigh in, so I'm excited to see how much weight I lost the first week. I feel like I have been eating a TON of food (although making much healthier choices).
This evening is going to be an around the house night. B needs to clean his closet and we have tons of papers that need filing. Tomorrow I am interviewing some high school kids who want to attend where I went to college, and in the evening I'm getting together with some girl friends for dinner and drinks. Should be good.
Sunday, I'm hoping to get together with my mom, but it will all depend on what goes down at work today.
I'm hoping to get out of work early today, but there's already one person out, and I was 1/2 hour late this morning thanks to traffic on the other route I took. I just can't catch a break on my commute this week.
This weekend is our bi-annual scrapbooking weekend for all the ladies in our family. It's hilarious. They play games, eat food, and scrapbook to their heart's content. I really just like to go for the fun of being with family.
We're supposed to get some snow tonight and tomorrow night, so I'll be packing for the whole weekend, just in case I can't get out of there until Sunday. I'm hoping to be back tomorrow so DH and I can have some down time together this weekend. I feel like we don't see much of each other right now, considering how exhausted we've both been. The nice part about being gone all weekend is that he usually goes on cleaning sprees and does all sorts of stuff around the house while I'm gone.
Tomorrow is my Friday. It's my first Friday in 2 weeks. I leave in 10 minutes to work day 11 of 12. I'm giddy at the prospect of 2 days off!
I work 10-6 tonight and then I'm on call and back in first thing in the morning. Hopefully after work tomorrow I'll get a chance to have a nap, hit the gym and go to church. Sunday should be glorious since I'm not working and I'm hoping to get 9 miles in on the treadmill. Have a great day!
I'm so excited that it's Friday. This week has been so long! Today sounds like it will be a busy day at work. I'm thinking that it will be a nice quiet night tonight at home. I am in desperate need of a quiet night with nothing to do. I am supposed to visit family tomorrow but that might be put on hold because my dad is sick.
Sunday I'm attending a baby shower for a good friend of mine. I'm very excited for this. Today at lunch though I still need to run out and buy a gift.
I'm teaching drama all day today, which will be fun! We went to ikea last night and bought 4 bookcases, which I'm super excited to put together over the weekend! No more books piled all over our floors!
Sherlock is totally fascinated by the squirrels outside out bedroom window... but the jump up to the window is a big one, and... well... he's got a little extra fur 'round the middle, so he keeps trying to jump up and falling in the laundry basket, and then meowing for one of us to pick him up and put him on the window sill. It's totally hilarious. We're going to miss the furball when he's gone back home!

Susi - that sucks! I hope they fix it soon!
Sushi - have fun at the GTG!
Kaesha - i think that means you should get your own kitty
SO happy its Friday... even though I WFH on wed and only came in for 3 hrs yesterday (finally got in at 1030 and then left bc NO ONE was here)... We are going to dinner tonight with one of my friends and her husband... its a byo and I like my outfit so as silly as that is, it makes me happy.
Tomorrow I'm getting my hair cut then getting my car's oil changed... I decided I wanted to re-read The Great Gatsby... it was my favorite book we had to read in HS, and I know they are going to make into a movie... its fairly short, so I hope I can take a good chunk out while I wait for my car. I might throw in an Ikea run if I'm feeling up to it

Susi, sorry about your power being out. Vibes that it comes that they are able to repair it soon!
Today should be good. I am taking the children I nanny to story time at the library which should be good. It certainly makes the time go by faster.
We have a pretty clear weekend. I may go buy a proper lamp for our living room. I've hated this floor lamp for forever and I really want a nice table lamp. Other than that we really don't have anything planned.
Friday post make me kinda sad, it is the last day of my weekend. My boss hired a new person so maybe I will get one weekend day off. We have a couple new kiddos so work will be pretty boring and full of fun team building.
I am pretty psyched we are going to Coachella (a music festival in CA) in April. Whenever work gets frustrating I am just going to think about this.
Ohhh Cat!
I'm exhausted. We barely went home for 5 min yesterday evening and spent the rest of the time out because of showings. Then we were up till 2:30 negotiating... but we sold! Holy crap. Will post more details later.

samesies. We're going out to dinner with my BFF/MOH - she recently got engaged (and I'm matron-of-honor -- how old sounding, eww)! Her parents are in town, so we're going to a microbrew/pub place. And, I love my outfit, so I won't mind if we go out afterwards
Saturday is my niece's 3rd bday (at a princess castle no less), so that should be interesting. I ventured in to some sewing projects and made her a donut set made out of felt! I'm pretty proud of the result and can't wait to give it to her!
So glad it's Friday! Tonight I'm having some me time. I'm going shopping for clothes because I don't have any tops for work that fit anymore, except longsleeves and it's already too warm to wear them.
We don't have any other plans this weekend but I want to take advantage of the weather and go to the park or maybe to the beach. Hope you have a great weekend!
Well, it is Saturday. Yesterday was LONG...we had sign ups for our Winter Carnival which I coordinate every year, so that was a huge production, then I met with kids working on a transition project for incoming 5th graders and had to scare them a bit (because we have too many kids interested and are hoping to scare some off so we don't have to cut anyone--that sounds bad, right?), then I had to chaperone a dance from 7-9. But everything went really well, so that's a bonus.
Today I plan to be lazy most of the day. I want to do some laundry and fit in a five mile run, but that is about it. Tonight we are going out to dinner with a friend of DH and her boyfriend. They are not my favorite people and love to do really expensive dinners, so I am not really looking forward to it.
Tomorrow will just be grocery shopping, a short run, and soup making for the week.
