I have tons of pork in my freezer: bone-in-ham, pork chops, pork loin, sausage, etc.
I'm not a huge pork fan, but it's there and I need to cook it. What's your favorite pork recipe?
Please pass the ice cream.
Re: Pork recipes?
While I don't eat pork or beef, H does and I make pork chops for him every once in awhile. First I sprinkle a little dill on them. Then I bake them in the oven at about 350 or so until they are about halfway cooked. Then I make a mixture of dill and dijon mustard and olive oil. I spread that on top of the pork chops and let them finish baking. It's an easier clean up if you use foil instead of putting them straight on the pan! I usually do these with asparagus or cauliflower that I bake in the oven (sprayed with oil/butter and sprinkled with salt beforehand) until it's nice and soft.
You could also use the pork sausage with some tomato sauce, Italian spices, and spaghetti sometime! That is another easy one! Best of luck!
H used to do this in college and we still make it. Put pork chops in the crock pot and cover with a Campbell's soup of choice, we usually do Cream of Mushroom. Cook on low while you're away at work. When you get home and are ready to eat, put in instant rice and cook according to the directions and you have a meal! It's very basic no frills, but that's how H likes to eat. I enjoy it too.
I also have a recipe from my Cook This, Not That cook book for a pork loin, I'll have to look it up when I get home. I made it for friends and it was a big hit!
Hope this helps
my read shelf:
We eat pork chops all the time. Dredge them in egg and then in breadcrumbs and bake in a 350 degree oven for an hour.
I also make pork loin in the crock pot. I put it in with potatoes and carrots and cook for 6 hours.
