What should I wear to H's corporate party? LONG
Every year on the weekend before Super Bowl H's company throws a huge post holiday party. Over the last 5 years its gotten bigger and bigger. This year there will easily be over 350 people present. Its going to be held on the club level of M&T Bank Stadium (Raven's Stadium). I'm really excited and always look forward to this party.
I dont usually go the dress route. I usually wear dress pants and a dressy top. The first year I went I was horribly embarrassed b/c H told me it was ok to wear jeans. Last year I wore black slacks with a black "corset" top that had little red roses on it with a black blazer over it.
So over the last week I have been shopping for the right outfit. I just couldn't find anything I like. I just tried it on with a few pairs of pant I have here and it doesnt look right. So then I tried it on with a pair of leggings. It looked much better with the leggings but I'm not comfortable wearing it with leggings, b/c its not quite long enough for me and I have no idea what type of shoes to wear with the leggings. The top has the tags on it still but I'm not sure if I have the receipt.
I dug through my closet a little more and found another top that the bolero looks really cute with. The only problem is for the life of me I can't remember if I wore this top before to this party! I remember the first 2 outfits I wore and last year's but I'm missing on year and I dont have any pictures any where. Does it matter?? I mean really do you think anyone would ever remember that I wore a black and red zebra striped top to this party 2 or 3 years ago?? Im freaking out b/c the party is Sunday!!

I say if you don't remember then I doubt anyone else would remember either.
As for the top you linked...do you have a pair of wide leg black slacks? I think those would look cute with it.
That what I was thinking, but its not like the top in question is a quiet black top. Its rather in your face bold red and black LOL. Ill show all the options to H tonight and let him decide.
I tried the first top on with wide leg and boot cut. The wide leg was just WAY too much fabric everywhere since the top is already flowy. The bootcut isnt bad if I want to appear 4 or 5 months pregnant.
I too am just really disgusted with my body right now. I also think my abdomen is still pretty swollen from the surgery which isnt helping things.

I agree that it would look cute with black slacks. But, I also don't think it would matter if you wore the same thing as last year. With so many people there, they're definitely not going to remember.

The other outfit I am considering isn't last year. I may have never even wore it to this event. The more Im thinking about it I dont think I did wear it b/c I know I wore it to a bull roast a few weeks later and I dont normally wear the same thing to both b/c some of the people overlap.
I don't think they will remember if you don't.
I really like the new top and think it would look great with black boot cut slacks. I probably wouldn't do the leggings if you aren't comfortable in them.
