Bras

If your larger chested, where do you get your bras? I'm a 32GG and Nordstroms and Macy's have been my go-to places and they haven't had them in forever.

Anyone ever bought from Bare Necessities?  Any suggestions? My poor bras are in pathetic shape.

Re: Bras

  • I came across a place with really great sports bras and lingerie for larger chests but, I can't find the website anymore. If I find it I'll let you know. I've never bought from Bare Necessities but, they seem to have a great selection.

  • I buy most of my bras from www.figleaves.com I'm a 36G and its always hard to find bras in the stores.

  • I tend to go to a local specialty bra place.  They are pricey but they last a long time and give great support.  For sports bras I tend to go to Dicks Sporting goods, as they have some that have really great support.  I have never bought from Bare Necessities, but I think I will check them out.  I really need some new ones as well.

  • I buy mine at a special bra shop here in the city I work in.  Not exactly cheap, but so worth it.  I'm a 34FF.

If you like the bras you had before (and can still read the tag!) I'd say just look online to get the same one again.  I hate online shopping for clothes because I just have to try things on first.  I can't even imagine buying a bra sight unseen.

  • Bare Necessities is fantastic. I'm heading towards an F now that I'm pregnant, but I'm usually in a DDD or so. I actually managed to find a strapless that didn't terrorize me from BN, by Wacoal. I love their stuff, but it's pricey. I usually find a good style I like from Fredericks and shop their online store. It's hit or miss like Vicky Secret is. I know a lot of friends use local specialty stores.

  • Raynes - your genuis! I was able to read the tag off of one of them last night and Bare Necessities carries it. They're return policy seems pretty good, so I think I'm going to give it a try.

Price is really of no concern, my bras have never been cheap and the girls need support no matter what.

  • I use Nordy's most of the time... I picked up a bra at Soma the other day, though, and it's super comfy...  Unfortunately, they only go up to a DDD.
